This show always made me sad seeing how they struggled. As a little white kid living on a farm, I guess the whole way of life just didn't connect with me but I remember it making me sad. Even so, the cast was terrific.

The show was about persevering through the hardships of living in a ghetto while still being happy, which is referenced in the line as "Hangin' in and jivin'". Also, I don't think anybody reminisces about the "Good Times" they spent "Hangin in a Chow line". I think Dave Chappelle should of thought about and researched it a little more.

I don't think hanging in a chow line makes more sense. It requires a bit of license and suggests somebody who is destitute or a vagrant, which obviously would not be a good time. Hangin' and a-jivin' makes sense and fits perfectly well, but it's not clear from listening.
