  • man that floating bridge is high , must be 7 or 8 mm . blimey dont think i could play it that high .

  • exactly what i needed, thanks from ireland

  • does this change how close the strings are to the fret board ???? please reply

  • How the hell did your action get so high anyways..

  • That... was awesome! You just saved me a trip to the music shop. Thanks dude! :D

  • why the hell was that trem so far off the body of the guitar. it's spec'ed for about 1/8 of an inch

  • so with a bridge like that you can make it a floating tremelo? on my dean xmt vendetta guitar mines got a whammy and a backplate like yours .

  • what guitar is that?

  • @legomaster864 fender stratocaster

  • will making the bridge flat on the guitar add tension to the neck? will the truss rod need adjusting? thanks

  • What's the name of that guitar please

  • @TheHondaextreme Stratocaster by Fender

  • Thank you guitarmax42 — just two weeks ago I did an "alternate tuning" where I increased all strings by 2 semi-tones — like Johnny Marr did. Yes, I could have used a capo. But the point was to make more room for my fingers as I went up on the fret board ... point is, by increasing the tension in the six strings, the bridge raised a good 3/16" and it worried my I'd broken something. I didn't have a clue about this tremolo-system. Thanks to your video, I now understand what is going on.

  • Great video guitarmax42. Thanks for the help!

  • Very nice video. I play heavy metal music and i have been wanting to divebomb on my stratocaster but i was kinda scared to mess with the screws and springs, because I wasnt sure how to do it and didnt want to mess up my guitar. Thnx

  • Actually, you do want uneven tension on the bridge - spring tension on the bass side needs to equal string tension on the bass side, ditto for the treb. side. The "claw" will wind up being slanted. That gives you a consistent "pull" and predictable intervals when you pull up.

  • How do balance the tremolo? So i goes back in tune when used?

  • Thank you for this information.

  • so, you can use that bridge like a floyd rose tremolo?

  • @jacksonboy1998

if you make all the adjustments right, yes... if not the guitar will get out of tune everytime

  • @ccs333 thanks..

  • Can this be used for a Dean 250 with tremolo? Plzz reply, anyone, quiccck!!

  • Thank u this helped a lot

  • willl this work with 12-54 gauge strings right?

  • how do you make your tremolo easier to press down

  • @midget6mafia less springs in the back... try 3

  • @MackenzieLawless haha i was just told to add more springs... i tried that but its still pretty hard to push, can you buy springs that are like not as tight?

  • @midget6mafia nono remove some. think about it... if you have less springs, you'll have less tension pulling against you pushing on the bar.

  • @MackenzieLawless thanks man

  • @skyline361 Maybe the height of the strings is too low. Try setting them higher

  • Thanks for putting this up. Very helpful.

  • i guarantee theres a divit in the wood , with the bridge that high, or the metal bracket is bent.

  • dude that was exactly what i was looking for...thanks a lot man

  • If I want my tremolo system to be able to move, does my string tension has to be a little biggen then my spring tension?

  • awesome

  • @skyline361 If you haven't fixed your problem yet, I would try adjusting the saddle on the bridge.

  • Woooow...thank you very much. I think that my Strat have some defect... :-)

  • Great!

  • Very useful. Thanks.

  • Thanks, I am gonna lock it in place so I don't lose tune.

  • On my guitar (2010 Fender Mex Standard) no matter how loose or tight the screws are it doesn't change the bridge ( The screws in the back on the guitar, in the compartment underneath the backplate).

  • Very useful thanks

  • this video is about floyd rose setup, you're going to kill your guitar with this tutorial, vintage tremolo can't be flying you will have to buy a locking system so it wont stay out of tune and even that you can break your guitar like that. This tutorial should be for improvised floyd rose and u should give some warnings

  • Very informative, thanks.

  • Thanks i really needed this

  • Thanks dude this is exactly what I needed to clear up what I was unsure about. I didn't how much my bridge would be raised after switching from 9s to 10s on my Strat but you helped with that question haha. Thanks again man

  • how did u bring up the bridge above the body? mine is completely attach ....

  • @anujsubba If you have no back plate on your guitar, then you don't have a tremolo system equipped and won't be able to adjust your bridge like this. If you do have a tremolo system then its probably just really tight and you'll have to loosen the screws quite a bit before it'll move.

  • @guitarmax42 i have the same guitar so this helped alot thanks

  • @anujsubba because you have a fixed bridge probably..

  • Dude thanks a lot! as a lot of people i didn't know you could make the notes gain higher with the wammy bar. :D

  • Great video! Thanks for the help!

  • dude... this was REALLY helpful. I NEVER knew that I could get a squire/fender strat to bend notes UP with a whammy bar. I always thought I needed a special guitar/bridge for stuff like that lol. thanks a lot man! I'm actually putting on new strings right now.

  • Oh thanks a lot! I don't know why this video just have 48 views.. Thanks a lot! I'm buying an exact electric guitar of yours .. I wonder if I can put the Guitar Gear that makes the sound umm go like from tan to taaaaaan and the Gear that you put it under the bridge.. Thanks a lot! I Subbed + Friended (:
