  • good stuff. Where can I find some willie brown recordings. I haven't been able to find anything..

  • hey willy4u4u. Don´t know my friend. Maybe I can help yuo to some extend. "Will search old hidings an´ new shelfs" I don´t play this tune correctly as did Willy Brown. Got one or two editions, though. If confident, please render me your E mail adress, in case I happen to find a tab to send you :-) Merry Christmas by the way...

  • Hey, thanks for the response. I was looking more for actuall willy brown recordings. I can't find anything online or in the record stores. I am more of a saxophonist but thanks for the offer. Keep on rocking through the new years..

  • Many thanks -Horst from berlin-5 Stars

  • Great job! Ok if I borrow a few chops from

this? Frankly, I'm glad you play it differently this way. Very sharp!

  • nice work this is a real feelin blues song i think u have captured this well but u need to leave out some of the little "pops" and "slides" but all round nice job i think u have left a bit out though but well done!!!!

    /fx

  • I've always known this as a Willie Brown tune... great rendition Stringpiano! I know how hard this is to play but you make it seem easy.. well done!!

  • Thank´s for the comment, Dan. I don´t play it right, though. More passages are missing, especially the boogie part I havent got right yet. Some day, maybe, an´ a lot of rehearsing later...

  • This song is by WILLIAM Brown, not Willie!!!! A different person!

  • Thank´s for enlightening me, wig1. I have this informations from an ol´ book, that apparently don´t tell the trouth. According to the auther there were many Will, Williams, Willie´s named Brown in the south from the 20´es to the 50´es. I must have confused myself reading about all these guitarists W. Brown´s. Thank´s again.

  • sei grande, bravo!

  • Grazie, Italia

  • Wow, superb! Nice groove man... You should post something from robert johnson, I guess you would play it smoothly like you did in this one.

    Nice work!

  • Most grateful for your supporting attitude. Right now a can´t think of any Robert Johnson compositions I master. Not even to a minor extent. Any suggestions? Think I´ve got a few compositions of his hidden somewhere in my No Mans Land of unstructured order? The loft, maybe? Regarding the second section of MiBl, it originally includes af boogie that is most intriguing. And to me a little difficult to rehearse. Some day, eventually?

  • Wonderful rendition of this tune.

I have just returned to trying to p[lay guitar after a 25 year absence and would love to produce something half as good as this.

Where did you get the tabs?

  • Thank´s highlander. Funny. I myself had a similar period. Didn´t play the guitar for many years until I were almost 40. Since then has been a long rehearsal. Takes me a lot longer to train my fingering motor skills than it used to do back then. I have found a usefull tab you can have. In addition to this tab I also have several S. Grossman LP´s from the 70/80. Will need your E-mail adress, then.

  • brilliant, thanks for uploading, great job

  • thank´s for your comment, shanicles

  • Fantastic! Loved it!

  • Thanks Dan. Means a lot to get feed-back. Any critics, good or bad, might help me to be a better guitarplayer, even though I´m only an amateur. My wife calls me a "Kitchen-guitarist". That´s okay, as long she offers me a nice glass of redwine too. The second part is not at all played as suggested in my tab. It originally consists of a boogie-roll, a steady trebleline and a couple of riffs. Working on it

  • nice groove and well played apart from the little hesitation at 1.46 !

  • Thanks daddystovepipe. I´ll bow to any critics from you, good or bad. MiBl is fairly new to me as an amateur guitarplayer, allthough I´ve known the tune since back in the 70´s. I´m quite aware that I don´t play the strict Willie Brown version. Especially section two is a facilitized to my level. Yet, I´m quite satisfied allthough there´s still a lot to work on. This aquard hesitation at 1.46 was actually meant to be there, but I obviously fail to play it right.

  • Great version. You made it sound like it came right from your heart

  • Thanks fridrikur. Yet, you owe yourself to listen to a highly skilled version made by agwtube. Mississippi Blues is a great impro´ piece of music, and Tim Sparks handles it impeccably
