I completely understand...running is my newfound addiction. That jittery feeling you have if you don't go, I have that too. It's the entire days worth of frustration that relies on you going running in order to be released. If you don't go, you become aggitated and on edge. Same here. I go running at night though. Kudos to you for going in the heat!
I couldn't live with myself if I kept the scale. I got a free pair of shorts by mistake and returned them immediately. The customer service rep told me that I might as well keep them, but I just felt far too guilty. She kind of chuckled and looked at me like I was some sort of weirdo, but man did I feel better after the fact. I may not have stole them, but I didn't pay for them either.
Eh, I'm not too fond of Walmart. I try never to go there, but given that it's 0.10 miles away from my apt, I go when I need to get a vacuum or toaster... that sort of stuff, where you can get it really cheap. I don't feel guilty - they made the mistake :)
LOL, yay! It doesn't get too hot here in the afternoon, like 75-80... I don't think that's too hot. Running is pleasant because there's a breeze and I'm sweating and it feels good :) I run at night if I don't go 2 miles during the day.
Wow okay that sounds really good...your fitness routine I mean. Well heres the thing i would stay with all that you do....just the up hill runs should be spints not jogs, I forgot to mention. Its a little secret i learned from a few professionals including my bro who's very succesful personal trainer. Short intense sprints do wonders for the body and for fat shedding :) try and get back to me
Even though the digital scale is weighing you higher, couldn't it also be true that your starting weight was higher than your analog scale originally said? Could you maybe be retaining water from a high sodium level as well?
Yes, that's what I've been saying all along: I've been weighing on my analog scale this entire time, so regardless of if I weigh 188 or 191 now (different scales), I've still LOST the same amount. It means I just started at 218 instead of 215. I don't know why I'm so hung up on the NUMBER. :/
heh i never look at my receipt either. i think on a few occasions i've gone through the checkout with a case of water at the bottom of my shopping cart and forget to pay. so what are you going to do with the new scale then?
Ehhhh, I'll keep it and use it. It WORKS, I just don't like that it says I'm higher. I don't know... I also don't like the points (like 190.something weights). Maybe I'll shelf it until I'm at my goal weight and then use it to keep track of .x weight when I'm trying to maintain.
How much do you weigh now, Im your height and weight i think im about 195 , so ya how much do u weigh now? Also I started working out last week and if you really want fast results run up hill not inside at the gym ...outside. Run up hill for about 5 minutes none stop.so up and down, up and down for 5 mins straight. that will take about 8 extra pounds off you in a week if you do it at least 4 days a week. :)
My last weigh-in I was 190. I think I'm fixing to lose 2-3 Lbs this week. We'll see with my weigh-in vid tomorrow.
I work out by running outside and then finishing at the gym. I walk 0.10 miles, run flat 0.60, run uphill 0.50 and then run flat again for 0.20, for a total of 1.40 miles outdoors. Then I run indoors for another 0.6-0.8 miles flat on the treadmill. If I'm feeling daring I do the treadmill on intervals.
I'll run further outdoors after I plan a new route. That's the plan :)
haha, that's so funny about your scale! my mom bought me a shirt at wal-mart and was going to return it because it was too big (!!) and it wasn't on her receipt either!
I walk to warm up. After walking for 3-5 minutes, I stop and stretch. I do runner's stretch (long lunge with hands on the ground in front of me), pull-back runner's stretch (come up from RS and stretch the front leg up and down by leaning back on the bent back leg), and then I stretch the fronts of my legs (by pulling my heels up to my butt) and then jump up and down a couple of times. Then I'm off to run!
No way a free scale see it's ment for you to have it and use it! thats pretty cool how you need to run I can't wait till I get like that, I usually eat a pretty good sized meal two hours before I go run because I feel like I havent been eating that many calories lately
I usually have to eat a lot before exercising hardcore, but as exercise is becoming more and more of my normal day, I spend less and less time prepping for it... like I don't have to psyche myself up or prepare much (besides warming up) and food goes along with that. Anyway... today I just FORGOT. *egh*
Oh well. At least I went and I feel great for it :D
