1. it would make sense to merge our 3 countrie's, after all we all have the same history pretty much.
2. getting rid of the borders within north america would save alot of work and especially money and put our attention on our points of entry into north america(ex, crimenal record, you get denied entry into this continent).

I don't get it either, ghost. This is a huge mistake. I live in America and my forefathers reach back to the beginning of the USA and back to Scotland/England/Wales. I am not about to agree to recreating another country out of America. America is its own country. Mexico its own. Canada is its own. This is a terrifying prospect! I don't want those Mexicans coming over without even being able to speak English and get welfare.

What we gonna do when the Mexicans start teaching the French Canadians how to speak Spanish? You ever thought about that? French Canada schools teaching the kids they must speak Spanish? Got to be tri-lingual, and this is all going to happen, people. I'm moving to Ottawa. I love it up there. I had a girlfriend who lived in Ottawa. Maybe the Mexicans won't like the cold very much.

im a canadian and i can tell you that alot of canadians do not want this to happen but there is also alot that do, ie ME
1. it would make sense to merge our 3 countrie's, after all we all have the same history pretty much.
2. getting rid of the borders within north america would save alot of work and especially money and put our attention on our points of entry into north america(ex, crimenal record, you get denied entry into this continent).

it would be sooo much easier to police people coming into the NAU then 2 long borders with lots of holes in it, its alot harder to sneak from the ocean lol on both sides of the continent it would take days to sail here from elsewhere
now if the peso would pick up its value, then canada and the U.S. wont have to absorb as much loss when the amero comes into affect.

My issue is that all of this is being done because of private interests in secret without Congressional oversight. And what happens to the US Constitution when all this goes down? Do the people of the NAU have the same rights afforded all Americans by the Constitution (not like our government pays attention to it at the moment anyways...)?

They have never payed attention to it. Income Tax was supposed to be a temporary tax to fund the war. It is like they say they will use patriotism to pass these laws and we will accept it willingly.

It is bad mostly because we, the voting people, the citizens of what used to be the republic of the United States of America, are not being consulted. Our elected officials in Congress aren't even being consulted. The executive branch is doing this all in secret. That's what's bad.
