  • Nick Clegg <3

  • I like Nick Clegg

  • What a soulless, grey, overly image conscious, soundbite idiot !!!!!!

Never ever will I vote Lib Dem again ! They are doomed !

  • What's the difference between nick clegg and santa claus?

    ---

    ---

    --

It's ok to believe in santa.

  • Why did Nick Clegg cross the road?

    Because he said he wouldn't.

  • NEVER TRUST AN ORANGE!

  • Look at that though Labour lost by only 43 seats. Very close considering people thought it would be a total washout. Oh well, shame we got the dickhead Cameron now to plunge this country into the shitter while he sits on the shitter and does a shit on all our heads with his gold toilet paper wiped ass... cunt

  • The Lib Dems are fucked

  • @MassiveFrog royaly no point fools ever voting for them anymore

  • Having a Lib-Cons Coalition is like watching a monkey getting it on with a duck. So wrong!

  • Hes the biggest motherfucker EVER!

  • huge sell out! you lied, you stole my vote!

  • @christimothy12 I know this may sound very hypocritical, but I had a feeling that i saw this coming, I knew he would govern with the Conservatives and would let drop his ideas so that he could have an agreement with conservatives.

  • huge sell out! you lied, you stole my vote!

  • He might have said all that in Dutch - what difference would it made?

  • nick griffan for number 10

  • The Liberal Democrats have not "lost our soul" by going into coalition with the Conservatives, party leader Nick Clegg has said!!

Sorry Clegg but no one in a million years thought LibDems would side with Tories..you let people down and your party has lost all credibility your finished, I enjoy every minute of it you jumped up little shit.

  • How on earth can it be fair for Nick Clegg to have all the power of deputy PM when not actually voted in? Unelected and at the whim of the tories

  • Free markets better come back to this pathetic country. "If it's Brown then flush it down".

  • Sorry... Mr long legged Cleggy Weggy

  • @DOCTORxxWHOxxFAN LOL i got a good one Nick clegg and David cameron are

the chuckle brothers (to me to you) XD

  • @imbusy64 Ha Ha xD

  • And after 13 years of Labour, our government is spending over £100 billion MORE THAN it receives per year, and has put us all in debt to the tune of more than £900 billion. Not only this, but the liabilities of the taxpayer are into the trillions...So, Labour are good government are they? Our former prime-minister (fromerly chancellor too) a good bet for the economy?? Ha, thank the Gods that the voters have finally come to their senses and voted someone who will actually do something.

  • @Johfunu You're an idiot. I bet you read the Daily Mail, don't you? Stop believing the lies the media spoonfeeds you and think for yourself for once. Gordon Brown was a decent prime-minister. As a result of his work, this country is now one of the strongest in Europe. Had the Tories been in power, we'd have been absolutely fucked. It's not Labour's fault the whole world is in recession, and it's certainly not Gordon Brown's. Stop being so stupid.

  • @maskedcrusader13 I didint even bother reading this, my comments 5 months old, so ill ask you the same question you asked me. You're an idiot. I bet you read the Daily Mail, don't you?

  • @Johfunu Right, well, that's not really a comeback now is it?

  • @maskedcrusader13 True, but who said i wanted to come back with a comeback? xD silly fool i don't enjoy replying to others looking for an argument. I'll leave that to you! Happy new year.

  • he is the politcal equlievent of a prostitute. his party is not very "liberal" now is he?

  • i fuck your ass,,,you fuck my ass,,,,both are fucking tossers,,i fucking hate them

  • haha clegg is such a tory at heart...

  • he was actually going to change english pounds into euros... i'm glad david cameron won.

  • TRAITOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Private school prat using votes against the Tories to destroy the welfare system.

TRAITOR and destroyer of the Lib Dems...

He and his friend... both private school twats intent on destroying the welfare system.

  • Pure scum - a total fucking sell-out, all this bullshit about "we can do things differently this time" "we are an alternative to the old parties" and he puts the most old school party in power purely to further their own careers. And who will suffer the most now? The type of people who voted for him. I was a first time voter who voted lib dem and i got a very important lesson about politics - never trust anything they say they are all the fucking same. Hope the fucker dies

  • Comment removed

  • shut up i really like nick clegg you go boy

  • @ronald2394 - You sly old bagger you! Managed to pull it off again!

  • Clegg has DESTROYED the Lib/dem...Liberal.....Social Democrat.......see, they could'nt even agree what to call themselves Their so called party will die after this fiasco so in a way it is a good thing as we will have clearer politics when these dickheads are history

  • [3 months down the line]....

....Nick Cleggs DPM Office... Knock knock

    Nick .....Who's there ??

DC . Hi Nick ! I hope u dont mind me interrupting. Ive got something important to ask you .

NC. Certainly Daviepoos . How can I help U ??

DC. Do us a favour luv and shuv 50p in the ol parking meter.

NC . Aaahhh... the trappings of power......

  • I think it is too early to blame clegg as a traitor. At least see what would the government gonna do for the public b4 blamming him.

  • How tall is a sack of shit ?? surely this man must know, I hear that old Nick aka 666 has taken on extra duties with Vince "Electric Flex" Cable. they have agreed to share the responsabilty of wiping Camcrofts arse/mouth after the Slime Minister has made pulic speeches" nice work if you can get it"

  • I see that 'in the spirit of compromise' the Tories have installed Iain Duncan-Smith (a man well-known for the being on the lunatic fringe, far-right Thatcherite wing of the party) as Minister for Work and Pensions - no prizes for guessing who are going to be the first people to get shat on then, are there?.

  • PS thankfully I have landed on a site with level headed posters. Take heart people it wont last long......people dont go back in time......no walk down memory lane back to the 1980s...... Remember the song...HOW YA GONNA KEEP EM DOWN ON THE FARM NOW THAT THEY'VE SEEN PARIS. Very apt

  • Clegg and his plastic Torys. All kissy Kissy now.....wait for the knives to come out. The Torys will screw up and now they can spread the blame. As a solid Labour supporter I relish their destruction. I look forward to the idle getting bashed as I always do but all other actions from this lot is poison. I predict an Autumn or spring election.

  • clegg is a turncoat.........cameron has pimped him out......both nazi's

  • This is great news for Labour, because the voters can now see how Cameron and Clegg would sell their own mothers to taste power. They will put in policies that will make you and I squeal, that will fuck this country up totally. The next election Clegg will lose more MP's so will Cameron and Labour will be back..................thank god.

  • @jamiewm3 Yeah that spineless, traitorous clegg is going to be fucked come next election! Will be such a relief to see labour back... with the cold heartless tories in power i realized how safe and warm i felt with labour.. i really miss them :(

  • @jamiewm3 Its nice for you to dream i guess =]

  • Well, here's where we are so far: European human rights bill to be scrapped (making sure nothing obstructs the shit to come, no doubt). Child tax credits, which help working people on a low wage, to be cut. Minimum wage scrapped. Cuts in the number of MPs. I wonder which party will be made to come off worse? Adios democracy. You almost existed.

    Nick Clegg, shame on you.

  • @G0IFI Don't forget VAT up to 20%, altering the rules of a vote of no confidence to make it harder to get rid of a sitting government, and the reintroduction of fox and stag hunting (in the spirit of compromise of course)!

  • @jackHNv The compromises will be one-sided I think. However: it could've been much worse, remember that, and hope that the Liberals in the coalition will help keep the whacky rightwingers in their box. Go too far, and the liberal prop will fall apart.

In the end, though, this government was created, not elected. The electorate will judge them later, for this and what they do to us.

  • Remember also, that the LibDem activists are pretty uncomfortable with this, for the most part. Let's not risk some 'scorched earth' ideas from us driving them further to the right, or they'll end up working with the Tories to keep Labour out, time and again. Clegg was at least prepared to listen to Labour before doing the dirty deal. If we drive them farther away from the progressive side, we'll be out in the cold for some time. Talk to them, and help keep Cameron on a leash.

  • @G0IFI That is a good point, we may have to work with them in the future, although I'd like to think that Liberal activists who stay true to what their party has always stood for may think about whether they can stay in a party which props up a Tory government implementing right-wing policies.

Certainly if I was a Liberal activist I would be disgusted at how Clegg has compromised his principles (which presumably he must have had at one time) for a couple of minor cabinet seats.

  • @jackHNv They probably don't think it can work, most people don't. We need to be realistic. The Tories failed to win, despite the media campaign and limitless funds thrown at their campaign. That's great. But so did Labour, and a Liblab coalition wouldn't have lasted a year, an election would have been held, and our worst nightmare probably WOULD have come true. This is a far better outcome than the Tories with a working majority. Yep, they'll be bad. But not as bad as they'd like to be.

  • You FAILED Clegg!!!!!!!!!

  • utterly betrayed. forgive me for using the word but that cunt clegg will never recoverer .If ever see one of those libs campaigning for my vote again, as it was before the election, with the guy talking to me claiming to be more left wing than labour, then there's a danger ill fucking hurt him.

  • He hasn't betrayed anyone. Ask yourself this question.. would you rather a fully Conservative government, or a Tory/Lib Dem coalition? No Lib Dem, or some Lib Dem? Stop complaining. Too many people support their 'favourite' party like a sports team. It's about what's best for the country.

  • @ryanuk86 What's best for the country is not having the Tories in government.

He has betrayed every Liberal voter, if you understood what the parties stand for, you'd realise that the values of the Liberal Party are totally at odds with what the Tories stand for, that's why they have opposed each other for 300 years.

  • @ryanuk86 There wouldn't have been a 'fully Conservative' government for long, because the only party in Parliament who support the Tories are the Ulster Unionists, and within months there would have been a vote of no confidence and they would have been out.

Clegg's actions will bring about the end of the Liberal Party.

  • @ryanuk86 I'm Scottish - and the Tories were UNANIMOUSLY given the boot. LibDems had a lot of support in Scotland - so YES - he has sold us and the Welsh to the Tories! ( I voted Labour by the way)

  • @deemclaff The Scots should boot the LibDems out at the earliest possible opportunity, they've sold you down the river and forced a government on you which can barely muster a single MP in Scotland. Can you imagine what would happen if that happened in England? It's a fucking disgrace.

  • @ryanuk86 I think it is more that he is so gung ho with what the Tories are doing. Have the LibDems had anything more accepted than the pathetic £1,000 added to the tax allowance (including millionaires)? The tax allowance has been going up for years under Labour and would probably have gone up by at least half that amount anyway.

  • Clegg has sold out everything the Liberal party used to stand for.

Millions of people (me included) voted Liberal to keep the Tories out in constituencies Labour couldn't win, he has betrayed all of us by jumping into bed with a party Liberals have nothing in common with, in a couple of years remember it, and vote Labour everywhere and kick Clegg into the dustbin of history where he belongs.

  • Traitor.

  • David Camerons....bitch....lib dems what a load of BS!!!

  • Clegg is like all liberals/ lib dems/social democrats. Useless and the whores of politics who will sleep with any party to get a taste of power that he and his silly party will never see, His stupid antics have killed his weak little party for all time as people now know what wimps they are. I am a socialist but I would rather vote Tory than for his shower of farts......

  • Shenanigans!! Shenanigans!! Shenanigans!!

  • Clegg is a LIAR! Clegg is EXACTLY the thing he said he is against. His party LOST. Clegg claimed that he would "work for democracy with the party that had won the majority of seats". He is NOT doing this. Clegg is up to his righ arse in the same behind-closed-doors corrupt political horse tradeing he clams to be against. Clegg is a LOSER, a LIAR and a HYPOCRIT.

  • @sidvic99 I agree!!!!

  • why not think out of the box..Why not Conservative + Labour government ?

  • Nearly as good as Missing Andy... google it!

  • CON DEM coalition is a hell of policies. LIB LAB has no question about it in terms of moral and policies coalition. Lib Dem please get grip about, don't support the tory which only a party of england and doesn't speak the majority of people in the United Kingdom. Scotland and Wales have spoken. We don't want a tory government who only buys fish mongers in the South of England.

  • yes the british have spoken.... mmmmmm WE DONT KNOW REALY.... ha, ha..

  • If this marriage between the lib dems and the Tories goes ahead it will mean the end of the lib dems when it is all over in the autumn when a new election will be held because it will all end in tears. Any support by working people for the lib dems will dry up.

  • If Herr Hameron can make a deal with Herr Cloebells of the LibDems, then there will be a new Nazi government in der Britische Isles, the first since Frau Thatchler.

  • I hope Clegg enters into an alliance with Labour + SNP + Plaid Cymru. Then after a few years, please give the Tories a landslide majority.

  • LOL

Clegg is loving his power though... who can blame him... with Brown and Cameron trying to lick his arse...

having said that... I completely understand Clegg's move to go to the tories first as they one the highest number of votes and seats... but I do believe that a lib dem and conservative coalition would NEVER EVER work...

    their ideologies are completely polarised...

I mean you only need to look at both parties opinions on electoral reform or immigration to notice it

  • Oh yes. The Torys will be trying to destroy the BBC too, to pay back their Master Rupert Murdock who bankrolled them. Murdock can then fill the airwaves with right wing shit like he does on SKY and FOX NEWS.

  • Bartonim.......I see Canadians as like Americans only with brains, so you can understand what happens here. The rural mob have more MPs for less people. Thats how your standard Tory twat gets in power. Undemocratic but thats your Torys through and through. But dont worry. The braying oafs in the country will be too busy trying to bring back Foxhunting to worry about Britain just yet anyway.

  • crazychris999whatever......I am a socialist and I work, I hate dole spongers as do all my mates. I hate those swines who have disability cars but can walk normally. There is swines where I live who had these for many years from when your old Tory Goverment was in. You think they will change things.......dont talk shit......they will change squat. They will kill jobs and put more on the dole.

  • English people by a huge majority voted for Cameron. All the Scots and Welsh who are on the dole want to keep Labour as their benefits will keep on rolling in. Cameron will hopefully change this and all the freeloaders who wont work can starve.

  • @crazychris99919 Cameron failed to get the majority he needed to form even a workable minority government. People may have disliked Gordon B but they weren't going to be conned by that smoothie-nice-bloke nonsense again as they were in 1997. You clearly think that living on benefits is some kind of free holiday.

  • I agree with Nick (except on immigration)

  • im a oversea student studying in england and i dun understand why increasing the percentage of votes would decrease the number of seats in the parliament....

  • @alfred820 You're mistaking us for a democracy.

  • We have the same system in Canada, which obviously borrows from the British system. It is definitely not perfect, nor is the American system. Something must be done to show that true representation exists and not some sorry excuse for it--with huge swaths of rural areas dictating what happens on the more populated urban front. I hope, though, that Clegg will not get into bed with the Tory devil to settle a hung parliament. The one chance he has to prove LibDem is an option is now!

  • Why would he consider siding with the Torys......its what the press have said all along. Lib dem vote wasted vote. They are fence sitters....opertunists waiting for a chance of power. At least now the public will see them for what they are.....a total waste of time. There is only two ways to go in this country....the left side of the road, or the right.....lib dems stay in the middle and get RUN DOWN....as usual.

  • if he sides with labour i will never vote lib dems again

  • Well said nick! Why can't everyone else see that this guy genuinely has a backbone and a moral centre and will do what is right for the country? Idiots...

  • @Purplchick How stupid do you feel now? - Backbone???? He's sold his soul to the Devil for a couple of minor cabinet seats. Two-faced, unprincipled, self-serving, traitorous bastard.

I'll never vote Liberal again, and Clegg will kill the party.

  • @Purplchick He's frantic for power and got the least votes. I always knew the LibDems were an alternate Tory party. Anyway no more support from Labour voters will ever come his way again will it.

  • @2replybiz Yes I always thought the LibDems and the SDP before them were closet Tories. So the party that came third by a long way gets some power. All the people who voted Labour aren't represented and NC has the cheek to talk about implementing a fairer system when the current one has got him into power. This is like a coup in a banana republic, very sad day for the UK.

  • all i can say is the lib dems need to move on this fast because they are holding this country to randson and our markets are not going to be stable on monday so hurry the fuck up, and lets lob brown back over hadrians wall and get our country great again

  • : P

  • So might is right, you should throw out your liberal principles and side with a right wing party because of some animal notion of victory? If the Liberal Democrats sign on with the right I will just assume they've been a ploy all along by the Conservatives to split the left wing vote in this country.

  • Why should Nick side with Labour? They didn't win. The PEOPLE voted tories.. they deserve the chance. As much as I hate them. This is a moral issue as much as a political one. Brown has never been elected.

If he signs a deal with Labour he loses credibility because he's making a deal with a party that a)didn't win, b) dont deserve to be there & c) don't represent the change he campaigned for.

  • @rockplannet1 Why should Clegg side with the Tories if the Tories aren't willing to compromise on some issues and be for PR reform? Also, more people voted against the Conservatives than for the Conservatives, so Clegg should go for whoever is willing to fix the electoral system.

Labour is desperate and will be willing to fix the voting system. Clegg is in a historic position of fixing the U.K.'s electoral system,

  • @andyx1205 Cleggs not in a position hes holding the powers to ransom, you noooob, he didnt get the amount of votes he thought he would and now he thinks the country wants him to rule, on this side of Hadrians wall it was 99% conservative votes and thats a fact , this country is after a change AND ITS NOT WITH LABOUR.

  • @guruclock Clegg wants to DEMOCRATIZE the country by fixing the rigged electoral system.

if you've got to choose between Stalin (Brown) or Hitler (Cameron), it may be wiser to sleep with Stalin than Hitler.

Clegg wants to fix the electoral system:

    Cons - 36.1% 306 seats 10.7million

    Lab - 29% 258 seats 8.6 million

    LibDems- 23% - 57 seats 6.8 million

If you win 23% of the vote you should get 23% of the seats not 8% of the seats as it is now!

  • @andyx1205 So a party that got less than a quarter of the votes cast deciding whu governs the country is more democratic is it?

Clegg wants Clegg in power, that's all, and he's willing to sell his soul to get it!

He wants to change our electoral system to one that gives him a disproportionate amount of power, from one that doesn't - it's that simple.

  • @jackHNv Well said - totally agree! Clegg is only after his own rise to notoriety - doesn't give a shit about his own party, or what the majority of REGIONS wanted!!

  • @jackHNv Is he even truly British minded? - Dutch/Russian parentage Spanish wife, and a truly PRIVILEGED background. Certainly not the working man's best advocate - in other words, a closet Tory

  • @deemclaff Well, he's out of the closet now, isn't he?

  • @jackHNv He wants to change the electoral system so that EVERYONE"s VOTE COUNTS. Currently, 3 votes for the Lib Dems = the same as one vote for either Tories or Labour.

  • @andyx1205 No, he wants to change the electoral system to on that favours his party, it's got nothing to do with fairness, it's self-interest!

FPTP is not fair, I agree, but don't kid yourself that Clegg wants to change it for any noble reason, his actions over the last few days show he has no sense of honour.

  • @guruclock It's not with the Tories either very much, they didn't do too well did they.

  • @rockplannet1 The tories didn't get a majority to rule either, they're the 1st losers the liberals are 3rd losers..it's a coalition of losers government.

  • How do you upset Heather Mills?............ Nick Clegg

  • I hope Nick sees sense and sides with Labour. If he joins the Torries I will loose all respect fro him.

  • hope he joins with conservative

  • @jadeangel3 I dont, Consvatives dont give one fuck about anyone! They only care about the rich snobs!

  • Bend down a touch your toes Clegg......The Tories are coming up behind you. You are going to get what the electorate give you boy.........Think of Britain LOL

  • Quite right....Cleggs whores jump in bed with Tories. Useless leader of a very useless party.

  • gorden brown- a dick head

    david camron- annoying gay

    nick clegg- ok.

    DAMN iT! lol!

  • If he sides with the torys I will never vote lib dem again.

  • whatever they do, if they're to form a coalition with either labour or conservative, they need to really push for lib dem's electoral reforms, not the other parties' half-hearted half-baked half-steps. lib dem should know after last night how important their proportional representation electoral reforms are. if they had already been in place, lib dem would've got alot more seats. not that i care bout them, but so would've ukip.

  • god he's such a dilf

  • Is it just me or does he always wear an orange tie?

  • @theconster2

it's the Lib Dem colour. well, yellowy orange.

  • x1st
