  • Western Australian accent sounds like a 50% mix between the standard stereotype Australians accent and a central Londoner

  • Rednecks? were not rednecks I mean most aussies are fuckin ugly no offence to them only men really and us girls well we beat the shit out of california chicks not russians they are gawjuss especially T.A.T.U :P

  • U need to remove the sunnys... :D

  • now i can brush up on my aussie-isms :D

  • I love the Aussie Accent. In fact I love anything that comes out of Australia - Especially the lovely warm hearted people and the wine.

  • The aussie accent your talking in right now is dying out rapidly. I live in Australia and I have rarely heard someone with the typical 'Paul Hogan' accent. The aussie accent has become more neutral.

  • Great video man. And about the whole American vs. Australian thing, it is generalizations. We both have and hate our rednecks...:)

  • lol...ah Rednecks ain't all bad ;-)

  • Oh yes they are...LOL

  • i love this video!! :)

  • Thanks, I hope it was informative! I like your vids too, keep up the good work!

  • Nice job.

  • nobody cares dude... americans think of aussies as rednecks anyway.. no matter how educated or well-off you are, to any normal american you are defined as a redneck! sorry, it's just true.

aussies are seen as the white trash of the world.

  • So you speak for 600 million Americans....

  • 300 million actually but i agree :)

  • Whoa...600 million??? LOL.

So good I counted them twice I guess. :)

  • cmon dude. i'm american and aussies are more civilized than we are. americans are the gun-loving hicks.

  • good work sir

  • Oh really, I spent my whole life in Perth but my parents were from SE Asia...just curious, how is it typical? When I go overseas people can immediately recognise it. Yeah it's a bit different in some ways...what stands out that is different to you?

  • Yeah, sounds like Perth to me. Definitely different to Sydney.

  • interesting.

  • You commented on my video so I shall comment on yours. My ancestry can be traced back over 150 years to settlement in Macclesfield South Australia and Broken Hill, how about yours? It was good you put in all that preparation, my video was just a short video to show a friend how I sounded, I acknowledged the english taint because of an english friend I talked to a lot at the time. I have been all over Australia and experienced all sorts of Aussie accents, yours is by no means typical.

  • Is there a "typical" Aussie accent then? If so what is it? I didn't think there was! It's not as regionalised as the US or UK where there are great differences over relatively short distances, but there are definite regional variations. By default, the highest populated areas of nsw could be considered as typical, but many would disagree with that. As long as we we separate typical and stereotypical, I guess we're reasonably safe.

This is a well presented video, nice work :)

  • my aussie sucks, thanks for the video

  • Where I start to talk sounds a bit weird, lol, and the lighting was bad, but apart from that lol...
