I'll admit, I'm white. But when we started talking about the Black Panther Party and the 1960's in my history class and I found it amazing. I thought it was really liberating and cool that they stood up for their rights against a country that treated them as lesser people. Some would say that they fought against 'my people,' but I would never consider an ignorant Klan member one of my people, they're scum. There for, I have much respect for the Black Panther Party.

My brother was the ambulance driver at the oakland Police vs Black panther shootout. His picture showed up on the Associated Press front page. Bullets were whizzing and darting by his body. He picked up one downed officer and put him on the stretcher. He took off his helmet and put it on his head. Probably the instincts from Vietnam taught him that.
