There's a wrong note at 0:45, and I think the mordents aren't meant to be played as if they were thirty-second notes exactly. But I liked the slow tempo!
you have a different variation than mine. Mine doesn't have any mordent or trills . But since it was baroque style back when they didn't have the kind of piano we have now days, my teacher said that the left hand notes supposed to play a slight detached although not as sharp as staccato. I 've been playing this piece for 5-6 years and love it so much :)
Very fine speed. I would suggest, that you took a small breath in measure 7, between right hand g and left hand G to give yourself time to end the introduction
i wish i had this version. . . around measure 15 when the right hand and the left hand alternate the melody equally you have different trills then i have. i'm jealous of your music so i think i'm just going to add what you put in there.
I'm sorry you're bored by it, but as for being to slow...Bach almost never put tempo markings in any of his music, so I'm certainly not playing it too slowly, just too slowly for your tastes.
Heck I play this at almost identical tempo Gould, who often plays Bach too fast.
dont worry, since it's a baroque piece its ok for u to play as u like. wether fast or slow or even adding some own dynamics. but ofcourse u cant do that if in exam. otherwise its up to u=)
Gould added the mordents himself. My version of music doesn't have them, but it was also a conscious decision on my part to omit. I think my version retains the simplicity of the main melody in a way Gould's does not.
Oh wait, I totally thought this was another of my vids.
I see what you are saying, but there are no mordents in bars one and two. They are Baroque trills. The mordents shown in many modern editions are actually wrong according to Bach's manuscripts. There is a mordent in the fifth, however, one that I don't play as fast as Gould, if that's what you mean.
whoooa! that's interesting about the trills -- i'm actually learning this piece now, so that's good to know -- thanks! and yea i just meant mordent speed.
hey! Nice. It`s good to hear interpretations like this. Respecting the style, adding very elegant ornaments, and saying an understandable speech. Maybe you can make some dinamics in climax-parts like in the dialogue between the voices, and I think it can flow better with a faster tempo, but just a bit, I don't know, thats just my opinion. Pretty good overall!
excellent rendition, but I think you missed the c sharp in measure 11. I'm learning this piece too and I did the same exact thing before I caught it

Nice performance, the only thing I would say, is make your trills and mordents a little bit faster, but great :)

nice, but fix your mordents in the first, second, and fifth bars. listen to glenn gould playing it and you should hear the difference

Just my opinion, though. Thanks for the input!
