combined with only limited resources after the bombing, made it virtually impossible to think a terrorist would kill children on a secluded peaceful island.
We are all struggling to believe what has happened, but we will never leave the side of the values our country is built upon.
Dear Mr PM Jens Stoltenberg! Do you have a national military defense system at all at Norway? IF so, WHY, after a government building was quite obviously ATTACKED by a massive bomb, didn't you hit the military defense button, to 1. observe the attacked area, and then to intervene immediately the island when shooting to party youth members was targeted? Because I m struggling now to understand what a military defense system is for at all!! Military intervention could have saved MANY lives!!!
@TheFantomPirate First of all, we have an army that ensures that the people are safe from realistic threats and secures our national interests both domestic and internationally. Our democracy is our most precious and fragile value. Standing constantly on our toes and taking measures for every possible threat, will only increase the distance between the government and it's people. The heinous act on the 07/22, was responded to in accordance with protocol. We are not naive.
The military and police made sure no other bombs were ticking during the aftermath of the explosion. They did save many lives in that matter. What happened at the youth political camp, was so obscene and far fetched that not even the most paranoid nation could have prevented such a crime against humanity. In all fairness, many thought the island could be next. But the vast number of other potential targets,
