Cameron Brown and Lewis Nash both played with Don Pullen and George Adams in the Pullen/Adams or Adams/Pullen Quartet. They played at Mt Fuji many times in the 80's but I don't know the reason for the substitution for George or the addition of the other 2 horns. Whatever the case, they really cook here and Bobby Watson is just super. Thanks for posting this.
Nice, I normally don't care for flat out blowin' like these guys are doin' but i dug it. It's probably video that enhanced it's appeal, and anyway it's Anthropology. Imagine Dizzy and Bird goin at it. These guys must be right up there in sheer notes per millisecond

Bass player's Cameron Brown; cool to see him so young! I think he lives in Westchester now, and is one of the most solid, swinging guys around.
MAn, what a heartbreaker to have it cut out just as Bobby Hutcherson steps up to play. Any chance there's a part II out there featuring his solo?
