  • "All Alright" by Sigur Ros

  • Wow though, a Double engine failure. Thats Rare.

  • A few facts you need to correct, multiple birds hit one engine. Losing power in the one engine, becuase of the loss of power the plane could not make the necessary turn to get to and airport, thus leaving the river. I commend the pilot on his decision, and abilities! The pilot make a good quick decision.

  • Thanks for the comment!!

  • All Commercial aircraft are designed and tested to be able to TAKE OFF fully loaded with only one engine. It certainly could have turned around and landed safetly with a single engine.

Both Engines failed due to foreign object damage, and the aircraft was not high enough to glide back to the airport.

  • Who gave you all those crappy ratings!

    froggy!!! xD

  • i'll tell you what i told Mary this morning, Bella "flame stars and late night drunks" xD

  • That good video you did i love it,

  • Thanks!

  • your wecome,

  • It is really neat that you have seen the actual area where this accident took place. You live so close. I didn't realize the river is so wide. It is also remarkable to me no-one on the river was injured or killed. It seems busy.

  • I actually work close to the Hudson, but drive 60 miles to get there (ugh!). Yes indeed the River is wide, about one mile. There are several ferries that cross between NY and NJ and quite a few barges and other small craft. Fortunately there are no bridges except for the GWB which is about six miles north of the splash down site. For lower and midtown Manhattan you cross from NJ via tunnels. I work near the Holland Tunnel.
