I haven't used a G600 yet, but my G800 rocks! Really, I like the phone, it's very simple to use, because of the quite standard Samsung interface. And it has new options.
Plus, with tweak-codes, you can modify lots of settings on your phone!
Thanks for this - very helpful. On the strength of it I've ordered a G800. If I'm not happy I'm blaming you!! I was going to get the Nokia N95 but apparently the software is awful = regards, John
Thanks for the blame part ;). Im only trying to guide people. The Nokia N95 is a nice phone; the N96 is coming out soon anyway, and I don't have many details about this, yet. The G800's nice, but many things could be improved on, ie, Processor. Yes, the software certainly does not crash as often as Sony Ericsson's, but no phone is perfect. You may also notice the flash isn't powerful enough. Which is a real pity! I hope the order comes through okay though. Vacationing now - sorry if i dont reply
Seriously, after the above comment, buy the G800. Very durable and robust when compared. K850 is better at night, but the G800, added with optical zoom, seems to be a little better in the day. Go for the G800. Just my opinion though. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the review. I ordered this phone a few weeks ago and part of me still feels like cancelling the order in favor of the G600. Anyway, a question: the cover for the camera lens looks a bit vulnerable, is that true or is it nice and solid?
Apoligies for slow replies, very busy preparing for vacations...
Camera lens cover (as Im sure you are now well aware of) is very strong, made out of some type of metal, and is very durable. Yes, it scratches, but this is an innevitability! Very durable and robust design of the whole phone! Very well done to Samsung - on the build quality!
I think its a good review you give here, even though its a bit long.
But, question, how do you plan on contacting samsung and giving your input? By what channel? I mean, this phone has probably been designed for several months or even longer, there is obviously a reason for the lower quality flash. I think its money but who knows.
I loved your review m8.
You actually showed everything on the mobile, in comparison to other review videos. Most reviews only show the camera options.
I ordered it a few days ago, so it should be here soon :)
Very helpful video review!

Sorry for the slow reply, been in Rome for a week!
G800 for its functionality - purely because of the extra camera functions...

Apoligies in this video, at 7.03 you will notice an extra, wasted minute, and some annotations from Part 2. Sorry for this.
