  • LOVE IT LOVE, LOVE IT... do it again... with a mandolin LOL

  • I usually play mandolin, but now I'm learning how to flatpick, too :)

  • Dam.. Roy Curry's break is just fantastic!!! I'd never heard him play before this but i must say he is the standout here.

  • Great bunch of players.

  • this would be a lot better without microphones!

  • @frmertd If it weren't for microphones, we'd all be listening to video with no sound ;-)

  • DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!! That's good!!!

  • Holy Cow; What a lineup of wonderful pickers, and wonderful guitars. Could anyone give a complelte listing of each player's guitars' make, and if possible, model also?

    Thanks;

  • I was in the room! Got anything else from this workshop?

  • @danflatpick actually I do have two more songs but I don't have a DVD ripper

  • Jakub Racek is from Prague Czech Republic.

  • Where is Jakub Racek from ??

  • Great picking from master players.

  • That was awesome to watch, thank you!

  • hey if you like this tune i have just uploaded my first video. it is a cover of this tune with a banjolin and squeezebox! not quite up to this standard but we are learning! search " banjolin the ginger kid " please rate and comment. i am anxious to hear from you all....

  • Doesn't this tune sound great in G? Real growl. Only with no fiddle nor mandolin present can guitars be afforded this luxury!

Just how does Bryan Sutton come up with his beautiful arrangements?

  • Why say you that? when you're playing with the fiddle, capo at the 2nd fret and play it in G

  • Of course, but then the tune would be back in the usual key of A and that interesting quality would be lost.

  • I also like Tim Stafford. He's pulling some beautiful tone out of 1955 D-18...awesome

  • @MrBoris7910 Yeah Tims got some of the best tone in the buisness.

  • @MrBoris7910 Oh yeah. Hes got about the best tone in the buisness in my opinion.

  • They are playing this tune in G, usually played in A, although it is played out of G position. Guess they just left off the capos for a deeper sound?

  • Sheesh, there aren't enough stars for these guys.

  • sound like irish country...

  • My favorite part is that catchy lick and descending part Bryan does at 1:23 - 1:29

  • that's the one, the guitar Sutton's playing.

    I want that one

  • place an order for me too

  • A 1940 D-28 will do just fine,,,Bryan's gtr out-tones all the rest.

  • Awesome!!!

  • more please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Talk about a place to be!

  • Roy Curry National Flatpicking Champion

  • Two-time National Flat-picking Champion (and a 2nd and two 3rds) :)

  • Who is that guy that on the left? (Stage right)

  • The second guy from the left is Jakub Racek from the Czech Republic.

  • Thanks for the upload. Not enough Bryan Sutton out there!!!

  • And there never will be in my opinion.
