But you are right, there was steps from other types of dances. and then - you can use the same steps from a number of different kinds of dances in the same... chachacha and rumba goes well together, and I know some steps from jive that would fit quickstep-rythem... (sorry for the pour spelling - I'm an A when I talk it a B eller C when I right it... XD)

@leenek It is my understanding that this season, the wanted to showcase up and coming dancing talent......Although Julianne is missed she is not the reason they are not doing pro numbers, afterall she began the series during it's 4th season, and they were doing pro numbers since the beginning of the series. The pro dances are great...Louis Van Amstel does most of the pro dances choreography!

Julianne is the only girl pro who can keep up with Mark when he's dancing the jive. Every partner Mark's had couldn't match his energy when doing all the crazy kicks and stuff, but Julianne sure gave him a run for his money.

Ohh, I agree so much. The Macey's dances usually aren't that entertaining to me and the pro dances are one of my favorite parts of the show. And each season should start with a big opening pro dance like this, it just sets the tone for the show and is so much fun.

Julianne just puts all of those women to shame. I think they are all great dancers (espcially Karina and Edyta) but Julianne is on point all the time, every time. Her showmanship is surpasses them in my eyes and I don't know about everyone else, but my eyes always wind up wandering to her whenever she dances amongst many. She's just that good!

I love this dance. I think it's the best Pro dance. This season's (6) opener wasn't the greatest. :(

You can tell that Mark, Derek, and Julianne choreographed it. It's so high energy, and they are really the only ones who keep up with the dance.
