(2)There is very strong evidence. Gerhard Fischer never entered the US, Nemenyi paid child support and visited and took Booby on outings. Fischer certainly knew that his MOTHER was Jewish.

I challenge you to prove that Reshevsky would have got the bad press if he had been non-Jewish.

Before this I read Bobby Fischer's book which is just a bunch of different positions with no written explanations. It was mostle about back rank mates. I found Fisher's book worthless. However, I don't disagree with Fischer's pissed off attitude about being disqualified in the LA match that Mr. Seirawan's discusses in this video. Also, anyone who thinks the Russians would not cheat in games against themselves is just plain naive. Russian tennis?

I watched Mr. Yasser Seirawan's video about chess. I can't rememeber the name. But it is a four part comprehensive dvd. After one viewing, I felt confidence. I went to the chess board and memorized all the coordinates for the rank and file meetings, a1, a2 ect...I then watched the video again pausing where I needed. (Yasser says to watch straight through on first viewing.) My chess rank improved from 1100 up to a solid 1600.

Colluding to draw games is likely cheating, and it is certainly unethical. It is an individual sport. To prearrange a draw, saves a lot of energy and mental anguish that the rest of the players have to go through. This provides a more than even advantage at winning the tournament if you have buddies helping you save energy to defeat the one's left to their own resources.

Fischer may well have been the greatest player ever when he played, but time and the game marches on, with tremendous advances. Kasparov without a doubt and probably others are probably now better than Fischer ever was.

However when he was #1 he had the greatest difference over the #2 player of all time, which could be a reason to call him the greatest.

Stop trying to analyze the irrational. Fischer was a great chess player, but unfortunately, that's the only thing he learned how to do. Tie that in with a dysfunctional childhood and you have a recipe for an adult who needs psychiatric care. Chess is a beautiful game, and it's a great educational tool to teach children critical thinking skills, but it shouldn't be treated like a religion. Living a balanced life is healthy.
