BAAHHAHAHAHAA to people who say it was chinese laterns. EVERYBODDYYY saw it in bradenton including a lot of my family matters, HELL it was on the news. no one knows what they are, but they are certainly not chinese latterns. i wana see chinese latterns make a circle and a line that fast in the air with that distance in the airr...LOL

Our whole family saw this as well. My daughter's dad lived near NASA during his entire childhood and is familiar with military testing. I thought at first it must be something set up for the kids for Christmas Eve...but as time went on it was clearly...something entirely different..
We saw this too from Bell Mare Condo's in Palmetto very weird!! They were clustered together then formed a line then formed a circle with one in the middle...strange! They faded into the horizon and disappeared.
To explain better, they started low and slowly and with no sound spread out and went higher, not good with directions so which way I don't know. They stayed bright until they would reach a certain point and then they just began to fade until they were just gone. They were in the sky for at least 5-10 minutes, and their "fading away" did not take long at all. Two "stayed behind" low and then did the same thing and disappeared. Not over water, but very close to it so not sure.
here they are...tell the story man....did they fly off...did they fade out...did they fall to the ground....was it over water...please tell the story of the sighting please...looks like it might be real deal

Chinese lanterns. Did they look yellow/orange and rise gradually in a very rough line one after the other and the highest ones just fade out?
