Our manufacturing infrastructure was dismantled under Clinton/Bush. It is time to reverse this trend, not only for the economy, not only because persons of average intelligence need good jobs too, but because it is a matter of national security. Our train tracks are being turned into bicycle paths, our manufacturing know-how is evaporating, and if we ever find ourselves having to fight a non-nuclear war of attrition with a major power, we will be starting it with a big handicap.

You may not trust President Obama yet, thats natural since hes only had 3 months in office. However, compared to the direction this country was going hes a godsend. He has tried hard to stick to his campaign promises and to be accessible and visible, not to mention he can put 2 words together and not sound like an ass. I think you need to give him a chance and not jump to conclusions based on your political alliances.

If only we had listened to George Washington when he warned against separate political parties and borrowing money from other countries. Those were wise words never taken into account. Now look at us. Separate political parties. republicans and democrats, clawing at each others throats. Huge debts owed to China among other countries. The constant bickering between people who have different political standings is pointless. Having arguments is no way to fix the hole we've dug ourselves into.

There is so much ignorant thinking in this world. Many of you talk without thinking and think without giving. Obama was not my first choice, true, but he is making the incremental difference in America that our troublesome republicans could (and didn't want) to deliver).
As far as spending our money so quickly, did he have a choice? If he did nothing, if he spent nothing or very little, wouldn't you fault him for coming up short?

The corruption i have heard of is appalling, but expected. It is not below humans to do acts for ones own self in hopes of getting what they want. This corruption is all over the world, and their for, is it really corruption? Isn't that just the way things work? If humans could rule without such corruption, please, somebody tell me a society that has done this and succeeded. Corruption is a defect, but human nature. How do any suppose we change human?

I'm economy was already in and far below the ground before Obama was elected. Whether it was him or McCain that had become president, either one of them would have been known as a bad president because it's impossible to fix the situation our countries government has got itself into in only one term. He's been president for only 3 months and your judging him. He still has a chance, but that chance is wearing thinner each day.
