The problem with the SBS conviction is that it is based PURELY on the THEORY of a doctor that something external to the baby caused the bleeding on the brain and in the eyes. They don't KNOW! The doctors didn't SEE the crime. What if a bleeding disease caused it? Or some vitamin deficiency? Or some reaction to baby vaccines? How can they be so sure? I now KNOW from watching a close friend battle this allegation that people can be convicted and sent to prison, even if nothing happened!

I pray for anyone that has to go thru this. My daught was put in childrens hospital at 2 months old with shaken baby syndrome because of her father. The police have still not convicted him yet. But im here to say that miracles do happen. My daughter is fixing to be 10 months old. & She still has permanent brain damage but she is making great progress. I hate to see people have to go thru that. Cause it is the hardest thing to see happen or to go thru.

I can honestly say how frustrating a crying baby can be,i had a colicky baby and god it was rough!We tried everything but to no avail.the best thing to do is find someone that u could possibly ask to take over,or if u cant then but the baby somewhere safe and step out for a few minuets.sry u had to go through what u did,and my prayers are with u.

My step son is a victim of SBS my x husband get my best friend pregnant while i was in iraq and she gave birth in May of 08,3 weeks later child protective services alled me and informed me that MY son and her son had been taken away from my husband at the time and informed me that the 3 week old had 3 different bleedings in his brain retinal hemmoraging and was on life support He managed to survive and none of us are sure if there is any permanant damage... I'm a nurse in Postpartum and all I can say is please, please don't ever leave a baby with someone inexperienced or whom you cannot completely trust. Yes, it was this baby's father that did this to him, most likely due to ignorance. He looks very young, 17-18? I know at our hospital, it is now mandatory that both parents take the parenting course and watch the SBS video.

Sweet Jesus. I have a 9 month old baby boy and another one on the way. This guy was steps away from a phone. He could have dailed 911 if he couldn't handle the situation. Fustrated? Couldn't calm his baby? You're not alone, as a care-giver who is not there 100% of the time, nobody expects you (an 18 year old boy) to know what to do all the time. CALL FOR HELP. I hurry and took my son form him, i then took him to our family dr behind his back and had them check to see if he had been shaken while i was in the restroom. i do not allow my husband to go near my son unless im beside him. my son he is at my side 24/7.

I pray for anyone that has to go thru this. My daught was put in childrens hospital at 2 months old with shaken baby syndrome because of her father. The police have still not convicted him yet. But im here to say that miracles do happen. My daughter is fixing to be 10 months old. & She still has permanent brain damage but she is making great progress. I hate to see people have to go thru that. Cause it is the hardest thing to see happen or to go thru.

I know that there are many possible reasons or ways on why most parents are causing Shaken Baby Syndrome but my Nurturing the Young Child teacher says the main cause and reason for Shaken Baby Syndrome is serious frustration and stress of either the father or mother. if u are telling me i am incorrect about this! An infant can be killed by violent shaking, but the injuries would be to the neck and spine just like any whiplash injury death. These kind of injuries are almost never seen in supposed SBS cases, which means the symptoms are caused by something else, most likely medical, particularly extreme Vit C deficiency from vaccinations.

I can honestly say how frustrating a crying baby can be,i had a colicky baby and god it was rough!We tried everything but to no avail.the best thing to do is find someone that u could possibly ask to take over,or if u cant then but the baby somewhere safe and step out for a few minuets.sry u had to go through what u did,and my prayers are with u.

Watch my video on Dr. Charles Smith. and read the blog (see link under my avatar) on the trial currently underway in BC, Canada where two good, loving parents have had their 3 young children ripped from them, with no real evidence. Those poor children have been abused, but not by their parents, but in the foster "homes."

I have a daughter right now she is almost 4 months old and I can not stop crying to think that someone could do that to there poor lil baby. These videos have honestly touched my heart, and although they have befor I became a mother, even more now because I know the meaning of being a partent, and I know the love I fell for my daughter. What a beautiful little boy. I just had a son in September, and cannot imagine someone hurting him. How can ANYONE hurt a TINY BABY? When they are crying, THEY NEED SOMETHING. It is the ONLY way they can communicate! I am in school to become an RN, and plan on working as a delivery nurse. I want to be certain that every patient I have is aware of SBS. I never knew about it until I saw it on youtube. Thank you for posting this...awareness is the best preventor of SBS.

My step son is a victim of SBS my x husband get my best friend pregnant while i was in iraq and she gave birth in May of 08,3 weeks later child protective services alled me and informed me that MY son and her son had been taken away from my husband at the time and informed me that the 3 week old had 3 different bleedings in his brain retinal hemmoraging and was on life support He managed to survive and none of us are sure if there is any permanant damage... You take a couple of deep breathes to calm down and then you go back to the baby. I'm a nurse in Postpartum and all I can say is please, please don't ever leave a baby with someone inexperienced or whom you cannot completely trust. Yes, it was this baby's father that did this to him, most likely due to ignorance. He looks very young, 17-18? I know at our hospital, it is now mandatory that both parents take the parenting course and watch the SBS video.

i couldn't stop crying when I saw this video. I have 2 new twin brothers only a few pounds each, and to think, some people actually do this. It's sickening and needs to be stopped.

i could never concieve having to loose a child over any circumstances. i have three children and one on the way and i love them very dearly. im so sorry for your loss and one day you will see each other again; just hold on a little longer. your baby is an angel now. just because he isnt here doesnt mean that hes not looking at you and smiling. your son always and will forever know who you are. hes a gorgeous baby and i am truly sorry for your loss.

i beilieve this does need to stop.. i mean how hard is it when the child is crying to the point where u cant handle it put the baby in a safe place like the crib and walk away for a few min... then the child will still be here.. i have 2 boys 3yrs and 15 months thats what i did and still do....

Sweet Jesus. I have a 9 month old baby boy and another one on the way. This guy was steps away from a phone. He could have dailed 911 if he couldn't handle the situation. Fustrated? Couldn't calm his baby? You're not alone, as a care-giver who is not there 100% of the time, nobody expects you (an 18 year old boy) to know what to do all the time. CALL FOR HELP. He should have received a death sentance. He's a MURDERER of the worst kind... to an innocent baby who needed him.

Abortion is not the topis! Show some respect!When a woman gets pregnant and decides to keep her baby is a completely different subject. The most wonderful joy of giving bith, taking the infant home and watching over them each day. Watching them smile when they see mommy's face. Then when someone shakes their baby, the mothers entire world is forever changed. Abortion is wrong, but it is not more sad than losing a child, especially when it was at the hands of someone else!

This is little guy reminds me of my now 10 month old, Hayden. Down to almost every outfit, every blanket, and so smiley. I can't think of anything more sad than losing a child. I am so very sorry for the loss of little Aidan. People tell me I am too much of a paranoid mother. But for my baby I will do anything to keep him safe. To the family of Aidan, I am so, so sorry this happen. God bless!
