  • i'd've been this guy's friend. imagine how sad and lonely he must have been. so isolated he must have felt from all other people. i'd've been his buddy...

  • @qwyzl What a beautiful comment!

  • EXCELLENT

  • i love this film, i saw younger and i wanted to find ..finally, thanks...

  • i only knew the book - it was so fascinating, way back in time. what a great surprise to find a movie made of the story. wow! life is great and you made my day! thanks a lot!

  • great movie

  • belle riprese

  • Thanks for uploading. I have seen it 40 years ago and never since. It's a great pleasure to see it again.

  • i do so love this movie and i haven't seen it in 25 years. thank you whomever you are for bringing it here : )

  • This is my all-time favorite Jerry Goldsmith score (I actually hunted up a vinyl copy), and while it's not a perfect Bradbury adaptation, think of it as an extra-long episode of Night Gallery.

  • so cool...i neverknew they made a movie of this back in the 60s, i always thought that fereinhieght 451 was the only movie

  • Love Ray Bradury, loathe Rod Steiger.

  • Why? I thot he did an admirable job as the title character here. Steiger always did good work IMO.

  • Rod Steiger won an Oscar in 1967 for the film "In The Heat Of The Night"

  • And a remake is planned with Zack Snyder (Watchmen) directing!?

  • should come out next year

  • there has been so very few good sci-fi movies in the past 10 years... I hope they can capture the spirit.

  • Thank you so much. This is one of those movies I have wanted to see for 30 years and have never had the time, or been able to find it. Thanks again!

  • I love this movie!! The music is excellent!

  • The music is from American film score composer Jerry Goldsmith who has composed the music for many films...

  • A list of his most distinguished film scores, most of which were Oscar nominated and all of which exhibit his dramatic instinct, include Freud, A Patch of Blue, The Blue Max, The Sand Pebbles, Planet of the Apes, Patton, Papillon, Chinatown, The Wind and the Lion, The Omen, Logan's Run, Islands in the Stream (acknowledged by Goldsmith as his own personal favorite), The Boys from Brazil, Capricorn One, Alien,

  • The First Great Train Robbery, Star Trek: The Motion Picture, Twilight Zone: The Movie, Lionheart, The Russia House, First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part II, Rambo III, Total Recall, Medicine Man, Basic Instinct, Hoosiers, The Edge, The 13th Warrior and The Mummy.

  • Many Lives, Same Woman

  • I like the old Warner Bros.- Seven Arts logo! At 2:06.

  • The Illustrated Man and Las Fuerzas Extrañas (The Strange Forces, by Leopoldo Lugones) perhaps the best sciencie fiction books of the 20th century.

    Thanks for your contribution.

  • i read this book when i was like 12. Im 34 and I just found out there was a movie..lmao

    i had no idea..

  • great I just read the book, now I get to see the movie...and they will be making a new one in 2009, cant wait to see that either!

  • sweet!

  • Illustrated Man is Jerry Goldsmith's best SF score!

  • All of his scores were his best. :D

    The man never missed. :)

  • thanks, great film!

  • I loved the book!

  • Thanks, I haven't seen this in the longest time!

Rod Steiger gives a tour de force performance in all three segments IMO.
