  • Justin, I've been searching all over youtube for a good "While my Guitar Gently Wheeps" guitar lesson! Your the BEST guitar teacher on YouTube and I would love to see a guitar Lesson on the classic "While my Guitar Gently Wheeps"! Thanks man

  • You have the same last name as my music teacher David Sanercoe. Too bad he's a wanker.

  • Been following you for a while Justin, and I just have to say how impressed I am with this lesson. I definitely did not expect you to cover the solo (nor should you feel obligated to), but thanks for doing that! You are truly phenomenal with your generosity!

  • i like you better than marty too

  • @Gorillaswaggmonkey why are you watching justins video then?

  • This man has done more for music than many rock stars. Rock stars inspire, but Justin bridges the gap between inspiration and reality. Thanks bro.

  • Skip to 3:50 for the solo

  • Hi congratz you are great. I am italian but you are so clear that i canlearn. Please can you send me an e-mail to contact you if i need some suggestions?

  • ONE QUESTION !!!

At the begining you are playing A minor without middle finger on the 3rd string, and F with middle finger on 3rd string??.. and at the 1:20 you are playing A minor with middle finger, and F without middle finger??

    WHY ????

  • he cant even pronounce the correct term .... acoustic guitar!!! he calls it an accustic guitar!!! imagine all the years this fool is playing and he never got the word acoustic right?? what an imbecile he must be??

  • @vinnothelizard u a guitarist or a vocabularian......cuz dis place is only meant fo guitarists

  • @vinnothelizard he also has an accent douche bag

  • @Fleeticus I know who he is I was just trying to point him the fact that he said "your" instead of "you're"...this annoys me every time, perhaps i am mentally ill but...you get my point

  • Damn, every time I hear the Stairway's solo my heart starts breaking out through my ribs o.O and finally I'm gonna learn it!

    THX, Justin!

  • what kind of pickups do have in that

  • your a better guitar teacher then mine!

  • when you do the riff at 2:00 ish, when your third finger slides from 5th to 7th, yours sounds completly different than mine, :(

  • i just like the faces he makes wile he's playin =D

  • Thank you very much !

  • 40 dislikes...retards!

  • things are starting to build up a bit ... hahaa. ya only like the biggest build up in the history of music basically.

  • LOL @ 1:46. "things are starting to build up a bit"

  • i've come to the conclusion that le zeppelin is trying to kill my wrist through this part of the song.

  • Good deal. I have a version jazzy playing left and right hand guitars at the same time one person.

  • Yup!! recorded on a Telecaster!! Thanks for this lesson!!!

  • Stairway? On a Fender? Blasphemy!

  • @Totema1

so it was blasphemy when Jimmy Page recorded it on a tele?

  • @AllysWorld05 He didn't know better at the time. But then he found out it's best on the good old EDS.

    :P

  • @Totema1

no he used the EDS live so he could do the 6 and 12 string parts without having to switch guitars.

  • @Totema1 your an idiot 1

  • @06mgibson ignor the 1 :L

  • @Totema1 wow

  • Stairway to Heaven was the first song I have learned on guitar, and in fact, I learned this song after the first few days of picking up the guitar, and I used this mans lessons, and he managed to teach ME, a guy that at that time has only played guitar for a total of only a few days, Stairway to Heaven in a month. I can play it perfectly.

    That's something.

  • well done james blunt xD

  • anywayz

i cant plays this yet :(*

    fanny lick lol

  • @Wimpy8Kid8Production it is a easy solo. U shoud practice a bit more the pentatonic scales, hammer ons/pull offs, bends...and ure redy to go. Practicing those is usefull becose it will help u to improve your skill, so it will help u for other solos too.

  • anywayz

i cant plays this yet :(*

  • How can someone possibly dislike this!!!!

  • Haha I love your facial expressions when you're pointing out the F notes in the solo. Thanks for all the lessons Justin, you're great.

  • Can you please tell me what brand is you acoustic guitar??????

  • @armandocruz11 Maton!

  • @lewisglegend ok! but what series? thanks!..

  • your such a joker "oooh matron" lulz

guess i better say thx for the help while im here. rock on (if only there was a rock on smiley face)

  • lol funny the switching!

  • lol watch his head at 5:37

  • @CHARLIEWITAARON2008 thats the famous justinguitarhead pose hwhaah

  • nice series of lessons man!

Anyways I had a question about my picking technique. I use economy picking. I pick alternatively when on the same string but when switching string I pick in the direction my hand are moving in (kindda like sweep picking). For example when doing the pentatonic run up the scale I end up using all up strokes. Is this techniques correct or should I stick to strict alternate picking.

If anyone can help me out that'lll be great..thanks :)

  • @lollmaoroflhahaa when picking economy picking is probably best to avoid any possible fuckups.... but in the end really is what feels the best for you.....any proper guitar instructor would have called van halen a retard for attempting to tap on the guitar ... it turns out the guy invented a whole new technique

  • Solo is amazing . I will learn it :)

  • I like him a lot...wht r u ..British ?...anywys..U R a guitarist thts enough for me !!!!

    Cheers

  • thx justin!!! hey go cheak out my kashmir cover n if u like it ill give u guys a lesson of the whole song even the end which i have not found any1 teach that b4 yet... and maybe the intro 2 it was inspired to me by there live version

  • 6:35 for the solo.

  • Justin Sandercoe - God of Amegakure

  • wow man you are flash..in only 2 seconds you changed your acustic to your electric guitar 0_O

thats why you play guitar so well

  • YOU ROCK !!!!!!!!!!!

  • at 2:42 when you say 8 fret e string, why not 3rd fret A string :D thats much easier :D

  • @barcelonadk Yeah that's how I play it, but he's teaching it that way cuz to play 3rd fret, a string, you have to move your hand out of position, then move it back for the A powerchord. Justin must have thought it would be easier to play 8th fret E string, because he actually has relatively large hands.

  • @trailblazer225 really big hands :P

  • the damn animal at 9:40 scared me to hell dude=( lol

  • Thanks your great! I've succeeded learing this song within a week with only 1 year of experience on the guitar, your a great teacher and ill try lots of more of your lessons :)

  • thank u very much............. hey your guitar is a stratocaser or a telecaster? i mean your electric guitar

  • @zpartan531 his guitar is a telecaster

telecasters look much different than stratocasters

  • hey, i just wanna giv u my big thanks 4 making this video,,

it really helped thanks a lot...

    keep doing this stuff..

    God bless u!

  • ty so much =]

  • wish he explained all those bar chords... i'm looking all over to figure out how to do them..

  • sorry but I don't understand almost anything about theory, what means the F note?

  • @CoocaColaa if you don't know what the F note is you shouldn't be starting with stairway to heaven. no offense

  • @boch100 I actuallty learned this solo by the time I commented here, but anyway thanks for answering my question... oh you didn't

  • @CoocaColaa wow, someone's got an attitude, calm down. So why did you ask about the note if you had already learned the solo? and you say that you learned it by the time you commented on this vid, so miraculously you guessed all of part 6 that teaches the rest of the solo?

  • @boch100

1.- I wanted to know about that note because I want to learn about theory

2.-and no... I didn't guessed (??) all of part 6... just followed instructions and downloaded a tab. I think that you misunderstood again what I said... when I say "by the time I commented in this video" (one week ago more less) I was refering that the same day I commented here I learned it, so if you use logic, if I was watching part 5, I followed with part 6 for the rest of the solo... damn

    cya

  • @CoocaColaa You have been called out for being full of shit!

  • @boch100 and I think you misunderstood my comment, I didn't asked for the F chord, I was asking for the F note that he talks about around 5:42

  • I'm curious to know why you don't like to bend with your little finger.

  • @zeppelin1996 probly we have to look at his instructional videos to figure out why... probly it's because he believes it's dangerous for your finger? i dunno. i hear and obey. easier than thinking.

  • YES, he does it every time, every time he says lets go to a close up, he always moves his eyebrows up :P

  • can someone please tell me what effects he is using?

  • @beastieboys5 O.O i dont know u.u i play in my elec guitar but the sound dont the seems

iam from chile i need help

    my country need help

  • i don't think jimmy uses any effects with this solo. that's just what i think. however, u shouldn't worry with what effects he uses in this solo. just concentrate on learning the solo and becoming a better player. i just use a epiphone les paul through a marshall mg15. it sounds fine to me

  • cool man. i have an epiphone les paul too with a fender frontman though. i was thinking that he used a chorus pedal or something like that. thx tho

  • @coal1987 no i think he uses delay but set it really fast so you cant really notice the delay. well at least in the BBC live version that i listen to he uses some sort of effect

  • you are a great teacher seriously if u ever make a dvd i will buy

  • HELP!! i hv an acoustic guitar...i dnt hv any electric...is it possible to learn this song wid an acoustic guitar...?

  • @elephantal you can learn this song with just an acoustic, sure. The solo will not sound as good because you won't really be able to hear the pull offs and hammer ons as well as you would on an electric with the volume turned up, but doesn't mean you can't practice on an acoustic and then play it on an electric somewhere in the future ;)

  • thnks bro.... :)

  • @ elephantal

Yes this song can be played entirely acousticly. Every song you can play on acoustic ( especially when you have a cut-away on your guitar, so you can get higher on your fretboard ). Sometimes it might not sound as good as on electric, other songs sound better on acoustic guitar on the other hand. I play this song entirely acousticly, except for the solo, but it's certainly possible. So remember that it doesn't matter what song you play, it can always be done on acoustic.

  • yeah i don't c y not

  • your awsome thank you. nice telecaster

  • I Can't Wacht The Video T-T

  • good class...thank you champion!!!!

  • awesome i learned the song thnx to this guy and now i realize its a pretty easy song xD thnx man u rock i dont like fenders though

  • Sweet Telecaster!!

  • do you think it sounds alrignt to play open chords instead of bar

  • It sure does.. ^^ i dont think there is so much differents but find out what theres is easiest for you... Good luck and have a good day

  • Arachibutyrophobia

  • What effects should i set my amp to for the solo?

  • figure that out for yourself dickhhead... it's yoru amp.

  • u can either go clean or a nice metal Pedal will sound good

  • hey you are best

  • hahahaha ohh matron xD 6:26

  • awesome but lol does he have an arrow tatto on his arm?!

  • Quick question: when you do the bend, how far up should I push? Should bend two strings up or just push up as much as I can?

  • Bend until it sounds like the note two frets down! Don`t overbend. That sounds like S***!! ;)

  • or is it called UP the neck?? ;)

  • se potessi ti darei 10 stelle..davvero comlimenti!!! sei il meglio!!!

  • hehehe the end wtf
