  • i love spiny mice! he's sooo cute!! :) i love mine :D mines called myrnin :D one of the best pets!

  • do you think i could put a spiny mouse with another hamster like a chiense dwarf hamster?

  • @Rebornsforlife1 Definately not. A spiny mouse should only share a cage with other spiny mice. Also, most hamsters are solitary in captivity, and are happier with a cage of their own. :)

  • @HezteTozzen

Thank you that helped alot :)

  • My spiny mice were brothers; I went to the breeder's house and saw the parents and other siblings. I had them in an aquarium that was pretty large(a bottom of about 2ft by 3ft. I even gave them separate shelters and food dishes. There were no other mice in my appartment, thus no female mice were there. I went to school one day and when I came home, one mouse had killed the other one and was in the process of eating it's internal organs. I was sooo disgusted. Now my one mouse is super aggressive.

  • do u say it like spineeeeeey mouse or spinny mouse??

  • @xxxGOTHICAxxxx Spiney (:

  • Wow, these guys are adorable! I'm in a zoo partnership program with my school and the small animal exhibit I'm working on is the Spiny mouse.

  • aww!! adorible!! i realy want a spiny mouse!! theres a male one down my pet shop u can buy it with cage... but its lots of money!

  • Nice :)

  • a fact about spiney mice: when over croweded they will eat either their own tail or the tail of cage mates, its sorta their way of making room for the rest of the group

  • These critters are awesome! I have 4 and are breeding one of the pairs! Hopfully I will have little spiny babies soon!

  • I rescued 2 Spinies from a boy who didnt really take care of them properly to say the least and because of this they are missing their tails and are very scittish as a result, they were also very thin when i got them and lacked protein because they werent getting the proper diet

  • :D Im getting two babies from a breeder soon. Im scared that once i get them something will happen and their tails will fall off, I heard they fall off super easy. o.O

  • Just don't pick them up in their tails, and they will be fine. :)

  • Omg I want another one. D:

I have two. But one of them died today.

  • OMG! I want one ! Aren't they hard to find in pet stores???

  • I think that depends on where you live. If the pet stores don't have them, you could try the internet, maybe someone nearby have some for sale. :)

  • Ces kitty were do u live if u live in america or Holland i can sell 1 or 2 1 of mine gets children so.. if tey are 3 weeks i can sell them

  • New Jersey, america

  • im taking 1 this saterday are they hard te take care off? And can you keep them in your bedroom or do there droppings smell?

  • They are very easy to keep, and they don't smell as much as regular mice. They are very social though, so maybe you should get it a friend. :)

  • i have one and i am getting another one yours looks very happy and clean and healthy

  • No, not at all. They might bite, if they're not used to be handled, but that goes for all pets. :)

  • I have one. His name is Quito and is VERY vicious :( btw, this is gabianna28. im just using my mom's account.

  • my boys only bite me -.- my husband can hold em and feed and not get bitten....the minute my hand goes near their cage though they try to bite me...and have suceeded many times but nonetheless i love my spineys!
