I saw him a few times, then in June '93 was at a free open air concert in Central Park NY where he was to appear. An announcement came that he died the night before. I stood there in shock...still can't remember who played that day. The world was cheated a tremendous talent. Enjoy what exists...it's golden. To those who never saw him, you can't imagine the beauty of the moment, struck silent, moving to the rhythm. Thank you for many smiles over the years, lifted me out of some dark moments.

In my own humble opinion this man was a giant as blues player.

Years of listening to blues continue to confirm to me he was a giant ,perhaps the best of his generation.(Better than Stevie Ray maybe...)

I say perhaps because the time and listening to his music still continue to confirm this to my hears.RIP

Yeah I saw in Deep Ellum in Dallas Tx opening for Buddy Guy! Man he sounded like he was playing four guitars at once w/ that cool full sound!

Saw him with Buddy Guy in the 90's. Like Robert Johnson a very minimalistic player who put his heart into each song. He is missed. Thanks for posting this song.

Just shows you lifes black & whites. This classsic song well & sung played by John Campbell versus boy/girl groups with sod all talent .
