I think it would look more believable if you had it as a 'recovered' underwater video from a research dead sea sub that went missing. Splice some videos of the volcanic vents and lots of dark shadows and extreme contrast and robotic sub arms getting in the shot and you will have yourself a winner!

One major reason is that the plants are shiny. I mean, really, really shiny, like plastic. So either these are really well made plastic props, or, most likely, it's CGI.
