people should understand how big of a gift she had she wasnt supposed to be able to speak let alone sing so beautiful as she did in her career after an accident as a child. The aet on her voice displayed during her last tour wasnt from drug use she had gained weight and also had nodules on her vocal chords for years. She was planning a comeback exercising and vocal training before she died. its just sad. Will always love whitney not ust the singer but the great human being she was personally

@edge78a I know she knew Jesus. I'm a Pastor and while watching her funeral, God spoke to me. He said, "that's my girl." I have no question about where she is. I learned from those that knew her that she loved God greatly. She just needed help and Jesus came for her. Only Heaven can hold her greatness.

A lot of people think it is the drugs that is hurting her voice....but fact is,it's the ciggerettes more so. I speak from personal expreince with this. WH needs to learn to discipline herself. When you have been such a mega-star as she has been...you get used to doing what you want without anybody around you to tell you that you're wrong. Somebody should have checked her a long time ago about taking better care of her voice. People tried to tell me to STOP smoking before i ruined mine.

@READY4REVELATION I made the same comment months ago and recceived replies that it is years of drugs, change of life, etc. that has effected her voice. I still maintain she has cigarette voice. After years of smoking, your voice changes and sounds horse; it's like having a frog in your throat that you can't clear. I know because, when I quit smoking, my voice came back so clear and stronger than I remembered. it was. Her voice problems are definitely from long term smoking. I hope she stops!

I think she is a dramatic mezzo now. She still has an upper chest range (she reached a G5 sick during her tour), but her middle and lower range is really rich. Her voice is also darker.
