why would you knock on there skulls if i was the soul of those skulls i would of knocked back lol no i enjoyed the video. I watch a other video too i like how you say youchube its funny hehe.
Hi William: I thought I would ask you this because quite frankly, I don't know who else might know - and the subject of your video reminded me: years ago someone told me that certain sections of the catacombs were restricted to visitors because the bones of plague victims were stored there. Do you know if there is any truth to that or was I just having my leg pulled? Always fascinating, thanks again! -Rob
Thanks for the question. Parts of it are restricted but I have not heard that the reason was due to plague victims. I would have thought there would no longer be a risk of contamination. Good question though and I wonder if anyone can give us a better answer :)
Awesome video!!! But I have to know , is it only cities that you visit???? Have you ever thought about visiting the country side?? I think I may have seen a documentary on this on tv, or something similar to it. I think I seen a chicken bone in there!! lol
This is so cool! I like all your vids, but this is one of my favs. Things like this really are fascinating. You're so lucky that you've visited there. :D So neat. Thanks for sharing.
It is called the Catacomb museum located off the Denfert-Rochereau Metro stop in the Montparnasse. Well worth a visit and few tourists know about it :)
It's most gruesome. I heard they did dance parties down there for the goths. You can see the skulls had individual faces, I can almost imagine what they looked like. Some have handsome facial features. I wonder how they died? I heard there were other catacomb ventures in the sewers in boats, still more skulls. They must go on for ever. Blessings FLETCHER
The tunnels are so long and they have to fence some off as people get lost so easily. Death has always fascinated me. Each skull has its own story to tell. I will definitely be cremated though :)
I'd really enjoy this tour! As a child, I had a quite unhealthy delight in old bones and cemeteries!! These days, the subject is a bit too close for comfort!!

It's amazing to think all those bones were once connected to people who had personalities and families etc. Incredible place thanks for sharing.

I know what you mean. Death fascinates me. It happens to us all but so few people discuss it or want to confront it>
