This recommend can only be received after passing a worthiness interview with a leader of the church. One of the questions in the interview is "are you a full-tithe payer?" after reading about ron paul, I was impressed to see how consistent, trustworthy and ethical he has been in his entire career, both as a MD and a legislator.

Many other claims about Mormons follow the same path (racism, virgins after death, etc.): a Mormon wrote or was quoted saying something, so "Mormons believe it." In fact, the views are not accepted by Mormons at all.
Legit criticisms:
Polygamy-they did it; Defense-stopped in 1800s
Priesthood-blacks were precluded til 1970s; Defense-in Old Testament only Levites held priesthood for a while; Mormons nearly exterminated, largely for fighting slavery, in Missouri/Illinois during 1800s.

Mormon Beliefs:
Claims that Mormons believe the Virgin Mary had sex with God are false. They come from misconstruing a statement supposedly made by a Mormon leader over 100 years ago. Mormons generally believe the statement was misquoted or was speculation and they do not accept it as doctrine. They believe Mary was a virgin when Jesus was born.

Mormon Beliefs:
All official Mormon doctrine is "cannonized." This includes the Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and Pearl of Great Price. If not included in those books, the Mormon Church does NOT accept it as doctrine. Other books have been published by Mormons explaining Mormon beliefs, but these books (whether or not insightful) are accepted as speculative and not doctrinal.

If you're going to criticize Mormons, at least add substance to your argument. So far all you've said is "mormons use mind control, mormons use mind control, mormons use mind control" as if repeating it over and over makes it true. Back it up w/some evidence or it leaves you looking like the biggoted tool we all know you are.

I amaizes me how when someone points out the flaws in they take it as some kind of bigotry when, I remember being involed in a cult onece I would'nt lesson to anyone even my one commone sence but they all do that no matter what church it is even the Jews do it just try saying something constructively critical about them and they call you an antsimite.the jews in jesus day were brainwashed to they were a cult just like those today

You obvoisly do not know what a Cult is. A cult sacrifices animals and performs Rituals over dead corpses. Mormon have never done that as a meeting. We are not mind controlers or even brainwashers we only ask of you to read our book and pray and ask is this true. We never have taken anyone out of there own home beat them like stalin would and say Beilve us or die.

a cult is someone that uses mind control tacktic to make you obey their rules mental abuse usually like withdrawal if love to the entended victom of their abuse.the inter core of their faith is usually based on lies and anyone the questions their athority is put out.Many churches fall into the cult catagory today even mainstream churches use mind control.

You are a prejudiced and uneducated tool. I know Mormons and I've read thousands of pages of the same literature you twist to make them look evil and/or crazy. These accusations don't stick because anyone who meets a Mormon sees that they are good people. As a group, they are some of the most charitable, educated and patriotic people I've ever met.
"By their fruits ye shall know them" still applies. Quit slandering good people--it only hurts the Christian cause.

I think they did did'nt they?I wonder if the same was said of paul? and Steven? the more prestigious a church gets the more controling they become usually because they dont want their secrets getting out.Cults are what they become they have to to retain their power over their people and maintain control.
