  • i have bought 4 core amd 960T and the asus mobo unlocked it, win7 index went from 7.3>7.5 but it feels faster and i thought 4core was fast

  • mi AMD 1.,4 BOOTEA MAS RAPIDO QUE ESO

  • i have my Asus M5A78L-M LE AM3+ mobo and a Phenom II X4 970 cpu and now it has 6 cores.. pretty cool eh? :D

  • @ThePakenshet bullshit, the 970 is based off the deneb which doesnt have a 6 core, it is impossible and you lie

  • @hydrofiend00 LOL ! you are so stupid ! i unlocked the 2 disabled cores in my processor and it was successful 6 cores !

  • No antivírus? O.o

  • biostar sucks!

  • @hopefulbeef

    It's not overcore, is it?

It has clock in the name for a reason.

Run a search for "overclock 4 to 6 cores" and see just how many you get. ;)

  • @Benzedirk 2012 so what iz it with you and biostar? :d

  • NO ONE WANTS A BIOSTAR! A JAPANESE MAN ISNT GONNA MAKE IT LOOK PROMISSING.

Thumbs up is Asus and Gigabyte are the best!

  • in china we make sooo cheap cpu dosent boot as 6 core because wee sooo gay and lick balls all day long with worse motherboard on the market (worst Asian accent ever)

  • cropped video:3:24 XD

  • THERE IS A CLEAR EDIT AT 3:24! MY GUESS IS THAT YOUR 960T DIDN'T ACTUALLY UNLOCK!

  • This video make me want rice.

  • hi, i have amd phenom ii X2 550 3.1Ghz processor i jst had unlock my cores x2 to x4 but its not working properly after updating the x4 entirely system was hanging like idol within few minutes. That's why i could tried to make it 3 cores using with msconfig-advanced option-number of processors=3. working awesome, but i want x4 processor instead of 3cores..

    My Motherboard is Gigabyte GA-MA74GMT-S2.

And how much voltage need to change while doing unlock....?????? Can u Pls explain me briefly....

  • @maheshtanay hey men!! you can tries to use a asus motherboard and you are ready to rock !!

  • @maheshtanay your procesor have the b in its name after unlocking right?

B-class, B-quality, second class, NOT RELIABLE! that's why, some parts are disable in order to produce aa A class x2 instead

  • hehe taiwan best ^^

  • MEGAHARTZ :D

  • Since when is 4 to 6 cores an overclock?

  • The guy seems mad for some reason.....oh yeah he works for Biostar, and he has an AMD chip in his hands; it all makes sense now.

  • I have x4 955, 95w version ... can I unlock it??

  • @cabron187 No, you can't because the 955 is based on DENAB, which only has 4 cores. You would have to have one based on THUBAN, which you saw in the video the 960T is. Of course, I have only seen the 960T on ebay coming from Hong Kong, or preinstalled in computers at retail stores. The 955 would be a waste of money if you are going the x4 route, since you could buy a 560 x2 and unlock it to x4 and overclock it anywhere between 3.6 GHz to 3.9 GHz.

  • @uhoh2626 YOU'RE ABSOLUTELY WRONG>

what's the use of unstable unlocked cores (REALITY CHECK FIRST. TY!)?

  • windows XP!! yeahh still rock.

  • i have a phenom II x2 and my mobo is a GA 880GMA-UD2H 2.2

how do i unlock the other cores using this mobo? please help...i need help please

  • i want my quad core to become six core:(((

  • Thats fine but where can you buy a 960T? I unlock my 720 BE but I can't find where to buy a 960T

  • ever heard of intel using hyper threading...

  • you should have seriously added sub titles lol

  • They would be the first to do this if Asus didn't make this over a year ago.

  • I hope Biostar displays a 990fx model soon. The socket AM3+ will work on even varios chip sets MSI has posted some working units. MSI Rocks for now. Biostar invented budget wow.

  • Don't let me guess right. U are a Korean !!!!!

  • @hinloverxuan he's from taiwan... -.-

  • very interesting.

    nice video.

can you make 1 for a intel chip too.

    that would be cool:)

  • @ImmortalUniverse Unfortunately Intels DON'T unlock.So no can do!

  • @KingShahJahan

    i know :)

they have hyper tread and dont need to be unlocked.

i wonder if the cores of the AMD are real cores you unlock , or just virtual cores .

    like the Intel chip.

    do you know?

  • @ImmortalUniverse yes, there real cores, amd makes 1 main line in the series and disables cores to make the lesser versions.

  • @ImmortalUniverse The cores on AMD are real (not virtual) cores like the Intel Hyper Threads (this MIGHT change with the new AMDs bulldozer)

As for now, the AMD cores can be unlocked. I got a Dual Core Phenom 555 for $100 (now the price is $90) and unlocked it to a quad. So a quad core for $90 now Intel can't beat that!

Unless you want the highest possible performance (get i5 and i7 for it) you should buy AMD since the offers the best value for money.

  • @KingShahJahan

    thnx for the info.

personally im not a big fan of AMD.

the grafics cards let me down with the sucky drivers and the catelyst menu sucks .

so i kinda lost faith in AMD, and are afraid the CPU is gonna disppoint me aswell.

    i think ill buy a i7 core.

i got my mind on an asrock mobo (the asrock extreme 6) , so ill safe money on my system anyways.

  • @ImmortalUniverse AMD had the fastest graphics card for quite some time now although this might have changed with nVidia's Fermi. But AMD still had the fastest for over an year! And the catalyst menu has changed!

But since you said i7, then AMD doesn't compare there. Go for the newer i7's which are code-named "Sandy Bridge". What do you intend to use your rig for? The i7 can be an overkill for most situations. You can use the money for an SSD or better GPU instead?

  • @KingShahJahan i agree but that AMD card had 2 GPU's . Nvidea had 1 GPU , so thats not strange the AMD was faster. but again FPS say shit goz you need 60 FPS in a game and not 100 FPS or more . then the game only begins to micro stutter And i never liked the AMD card , colours looked fake. i already liked the GTX 480 more then the crappy HD 5970 i need a i7 core . im gonna use the rig for lots of things .. i do programming ,hacking ,i make video's and play Games.
  • @ImmortalUniverse In my most humble opinion an i7 is an overkill for most of the mentioned cases. I'd get an i5 / Phenom X2 (and unlock to X4) and save the money for SSD or better GPU. But if you have a lot of money, then get an i7. I know I'd get it if I had money growing on my trees!

  • @KingShahJahan

    i like overkill.

better then having bottlenecks on cpu peaks.

and SSD ,i dont need it yet .

ok it saves me loading times in games .

but when im in a game connected , a SSD isnt helping .

also my harddrive is a 3gb/ps seagate .

and its not as fast as a SSD ,but it will do for a long while.

CPU and GPU and mem was always my main priority.

  • @ImmortalUniverse Since you have enough to buy an i7 you should also consider SSD. Your disk will be bottle-necking your overall speeds far more than the CPU. A 128 GB boot drive on a 6 gbps SATA III should make the boot, game's loading and opening of softwares a lot snappier. Use SSD as a boot drive and for installing games & softwares. And another platter HDD for storage.

    I envy you so much!

  • @KingShahJahan but your right about 1 thing , the i7 aint cheap. and im broke as f..k but then again ,i bought most of my things in desperate times . my 50 inch tv etc etc.. you can say i have a luck when it comes to getting cool stuff. i decided i wanted a xbox 360. so i went searching. i notice lots of them had heat issues. so i bought a broken 1 for 10 bucks . fixed it for 50 bucks with better heatsinks and fans , new firmware to play illegal games. now i play for free:)
  • only black series are available?

  • You are noobs because "Zosma" (phenom II X4 940t, 960t) can be unlocked.

You must use uncle google ;)

  • Biostar cheap shit!

AMD dont have 4 cores what can be six core!

    cheap nooooooooooobs

  • @MajorisGaming ahahaha, of course, some motherboards do this, but you dont have to think that they change even their look....

  • Comment removed

  • What if my GPU is already @900Mhz lol..

  • So....It permits you to OVERCLOCK a four core CPU to the equivalent of a six core PERFORMANCE. There are no "hidden cores" here, it just automatically boosts the CPU that you have.

  • @Ropponmatsu2 Actually, it does unlock extra cores. AMD honestly disables cores in a number of their CPUs. If you look at the CPU with a dye, you can obviously see 2 other cores. There is a good chance that it can be unstable and not all of their CPUs have locked cores. The 960t is the only 4 Core CPU that has Locked cores and is no longer sold.

  • SIX core SIX core...

  • was this running stable>?

  • too bad u cant buy the phenom 960t

  • @simvegas what do you mean?

  • i want to make my sempron become a phenom :(((

  • @thadeuluiz if you mean the semprom 140 wich one is a dual core one , most of them it have alot of inestability unlocking the second core , i do it with two and always keep getting fucked in windows/linux/bsd

  • @SYCKODELICUS

    i've got a sempron LE -1100 :(:(:(:(:(:(

    but, not for long!!!

    i'll buy a 1090T this xmas ^^

.. and a new mobo, of course

    ... and new ram

    ... and new HDs

    but i'll keep my GTX260 ^^

    and my 650W PSU ^^

  • @thadeuluiz

    Case ? :D

  • @L2AsteriX CM 690 II ^^

  • @thadeuluiz hey dude can u tell . is this mobo msi 740gm-p25 able to unclock other 2 cores of amd phenom ii x2 560 be cpu and make it into a full fledged quad core. i the board is cheap . its priced at 52$ i think. i has ddr3 ram support. i wanna ask do u think msi boards have quality to last long and they really unlock cores? though msi says that this particular mobo has core unlocking technology. plz help

  • @thadeuluiz you can make it an athlon

  • @thadeuluiz sepron 140 can become athlon ii x2

  • @thadeuluiz me to but.....you what they say no money no honey ;)).

  • @Smecherul89 precisely...

screw this shit, i'm waiting for bulldozer now...

  • @thadeuluiz HAHA ! ITS IMPOSSIBLE ! XD

  • @thadeuluiz you can make it into a dual core. i think athlon x2

  • AMD rocks!!

  • lol "because your using a biostar mainboard" what a dumb fuck lol.

  • @clarissa1986 very true mate, but the 980x performs about 2-3 times better than the 1090t, so they have thr right to put it at £800, but the i7 930 is definitely an excellent bang for the buck, like the 1055T IMO.

  • can I unlock more cores in my athlon II X2 250?

  • @EdwinXVS nope only the phenom II x2 550 555 and 560 can be unlocked

  • i seen these mobo in CUSTOM PC mag.

  • It's great that Biostar updates the Bios when needed. Quality is sure great with these boards as you can see on my channel. Not much I could say bad about Biostar except advertisement is has no motivation otherwise I would known Biostar to upgrade from my AN9-32X since arrival of the quad core. I seldom heard of Biostar. Ironic that since then the only comparison to that was the BIOSTAR TA890FXE that I have now after a lot of board changes finally TA890FXE met my standards.

  • @clarissa1986 funny thing is that I know youre right. but also take this in consideration. Not only intel ppl pay more and they say its faster...so how come with same cards we end up getting same fps in games. cause no1 here is going to get faster fps than me with the same card I have when Im overclocked to 4.0Ghz and 1600 on the ram. Point is that my card is already doing its maximum in my system. and I payed way less. tell you what I would buy intel if I get an increase of 300fps, but u dont

  • @clarissa1986 intel is definitely worth it if u have enough money. i would have bought i5-750 if amd and aticard didn't come with mw2

  • @clarissa1986 i have amd 955be but i wanted i5-750 .That doesn't mean amd is ahead.

  • windows xp wtf

  • dam it to hell!!. i just got a 965be. AHHHHHHHHH. DAM YOU AMD. DAM YOU!!. it only works on the 960t because it has 6 cores but is sold as a 4 core. and good luck tryin to find one.

  • how can AMD make a 6 core cpu and still not faster then Intel Corei series LOL

  • @fcmiller09 sythetic tests. real live applications are different. My friend has a core i7 with 295 card and thats system cant get smoother fraps videos than my dragon AMD. Not only that his crashes on almost every game we play...ETQW, BC2, and believe it or not BF2142 makes it reboot.

  • @Mr0ro

something must be wrong with his wrong, maybe a bad overclock. cause im running Corei5 750 and two 9800gtx/sli and my system Never crashes unless i do a bad overclock. and my rig plays all those games with ease. the only game i have trouble with no is Metro2033, and i have recently figured out the right specs to run that game smoother. Tell him to update his drivers or something or try Windows 7 ultimate

  • @fcmiller09 no overclocking...thats what I thought too. he doesnt even how to. and his hardware is amazing. tested memtest, and everything pases inclucing prime95.

  • @Mr0ro Hell yeah he got amazing specs. He can go to the Motherboard website, and the GPU website to get newer drivers. or his motherboard can actually be holding him back too

  • @fcmiller09

Its just competition. What are the odds that two manufacturers would end up making cpu's that had the exact same performance? Sometimes Intel is ahead. Sometimes AMD is ahead. So what? Don't hate. If it wasn't for AMD, Intel would charge way too much, and people wouldn't have choice... Kinda like Mac vs PC. How can apple make such pretty computers and only get <10% of market share? Oh wait... Thats different because PC is always ahead... oops.

  • @Z4CHC what are u tallking abt intel is always ahead of amd

  • How Did u make windows xp support 6 cores, when only can support 2 cores.

  • @icguilty I don't know where you got that information from...

  • @icguilty Windows XP supports 2 PROCESSORS. So if you had a motherboard with two CPU sockets, you could put a quad core processor in each one of them and run XP just fine. I believe you confused cores with processors/cpu's. Also, i think XP counts a dual core cpu as ONE processor in task manager and a quad core cpu as ONE processor as well. But I'm positive it supports two CPU's. How many cores there are in each one is irrelevant. But if you have a quad please don't waste it on XP. Get Windows 7

  • Cool ^-^
