For me, Kunze is king. Sure, Dickison and this joker have dived slightly higher but then what are the criteria for setting the record? Dickison did it but broke his leg with an awkward entry so not sure if he walked away. This guy is wearing a supportive suit and SHOES for God's sake. Does it come down to who can jump from highest and survive? Kunze performed an elegant dive in just some (tight) trunks.

The fact the Olivier didn't "walk away" on his own classifies this dive as a "failed dive"....nice try Olivier but no record. @WipeMeDown8907....you are obviously NOT a high diver...your comments about high divers "taping their legs together" is absurd. Some tape their knees for support but nobody ever tapes them together. I worked with Olivier and he was one of the nicest guys you'd ever wan to meet....we worked together at Great Adventure in the USA.

this guy is crazy. the other divers are smart and taped their legs together so they wouldnt pull apart. this guy just went up there and jumped. his entry into the water was sketch too. however dude still has some balls even thinking about that.

if you look at the report about dickinsons dive, you can see he had multiple fractures on his left leg.

Kunze was fine after his dive and walked away.

I wonder that this guy isnt dead with this entry...

The Best World Record High Diver in the World by far has to be Dana Kunze, Dickerson was a Beast and a Great high diver, but he got whacked as well!!!

As all High Divers would say I can do the height and the dive, but can my body handle the impact if it's not Perfect!
