  • thumbs up if you know the words off by heart!

  • charlie and the chocolate factory->willy wonka and the chocolate factory

  • @kazemonrider64 Haha, yeah.

  • Man i wonder what it would sound like if Charlie had a song...

  • This song is better than an other song in this movie :)

  • this movie killed willy wanka and the chocolate factory

  • My favorite song in the film. I like the 60's folk thing.

  • Oompa loompas: Varuc-

Father: SHUT UP, YOU'RE NOT HELPING!

  • The last Youtube look has gone down the garbage shoot.

  • I bet you guys didn't notice that the song had 3 or 4 times more views then the others. xD

  • 70...? the unofficial report said 700 :) ...but thats a inside story

  • song's great!!!

  • i love this song. hope you put more videos like this on youtube!

  • Veruca and Augustus were the two most annoying put of the bratty four, and they got it easiest. Fatboy and Veronica Lodge could go home, take a shower and they would be fine.

The only problem with Violet was that she was annoyingly competitive, and Mike was just an insufferable know-it-all (and the lesser of four evils in my opinion) and they had permanently last g damages.

  • Willy wonka's eyes get bigger each time he shakes his head :O

  • its a sad story... i mean the parents are terrible but willy wonka is a bit crazy and i think veruca down the garbage shoot is not as bad as drowning in chocolate, or being purple or being very very thin and tall :P

  • @mahimahimindy Yeah, it's not such a big problem, they just have to go back and take a bath.

  • I love the movie!

  • Love this song. Lol

  • @grimmjowfavoritegirl I know that. I was just joking with the person I responded to. They said Veruca ordered "His" father. So I just decided to be a smartass.

  • am i high?

  • These Oompa Loompas were much better. They were way less creepy and inhuman than the 1970's ones, and much closer to the ones in the books. Plus, the songs are from the books. ^_^ That makes me happy.

  • @iluvthecompanioncube i agree :D

  • Veruca Salt ordered his father to create 70 accounts on youtube to dislike this video.

  • @FormidableArthur clever XD

  • @FormidableArthur Veruca Salt's a boy?

  • @FormidableArthur haha, yah . i was one who created one acct in youtube but i definitely hit the like button.

  • @FormidableArthur veruca salt was a girl...

  • @Y2JRedskins You don't say ! From the planet where i come people make mistakes.

  • @FormidableArthur just pointing it out...

  • @FormidableArthur HIS Father? You mean HER Father? xD

  • @ymk19 Yup! My bad.

  • @FormidableArthur Haha, don't worry about it bro. It also happens to me sometimes when you just sit back and relax. xD

  • actual songs from the book...

  • 0:17 Veruca Salt, the little bitch ¿¿WTF?? D:!!

  • Comment removed

  • whats up with chinise sub?

  • I like British People. But there's an amazing song playing and this is what we're talking about?

  • I remember the 1st time i watched the movie. The Oompa Loompas gave me nightmares. Until i watched the movie 3 times in a row. And my little bro thought Willy Wonka was Michael Jackson instead of Johnny Depp. It's crazy! xD

  • @ymk19

    oh the craziness....

  • @ccipollini1984 Yup, xD

  • See, this is why I just can't like British people. Those posh freaks raise their children to be so awful. There's just no encouragement for them to know proper behavior, because they are all consistently showered with gifts. When I was a child I was taught to be a patriot to America, to be hard-working for this brilliant country. But British children? Given anything they want to get them to shut the hell up for a few hours.

I can't be thankful enough to be where I am - America, a sane country.

  • @ThroughRock I beg your pardon. <.< I happen to be British and I'm NOTHING like that! Britain is nothing like that character so don't you dare group us together with someone like her. Spoilt people are everywhere it has nothing to do with the country. -.-

  • @Hexanna333 Ignore him, he's american.

  • @ThroughRock

I'm sorry but some of the most spoilt children I've met and seen have been American, not British. My friend is British and is SO not spoilt. Far from it actually. So please don't stereotype or I'll start calling every American a lazy fat ass.

  • @ThroughRock

You are being a rude ignorant brat right now. Its this ignorance that makes me dislike most Americans (I am an American by the way I was just raised better than you). There are just about as many parents in the US who spoil their kids rotten as anywhere else. Next time really think out what you are going to say before saying something so rude about a place you have no information on whatsoever.

America, a slowly collapsing country both morally and economically.

  • @ThroughRock

I love my country, just sometimes it's people disappoint me.

  • @ThroughRock You ignorant bastard

  • there are girl voices but no female oompa loompas......-_-

  • This version of the film is actually closer to the book than the other one.

  • where'd they get a portrait of Veruca's mum?

    that's a bit creepy...

  • you are right i just finnished the book. it was really good and when i compared some of the songes from the 1st and 2nd movie the 2nd movie the songs had mor words in commen.

  • Neither the old or new ones look like the way oompa loompas were in the book. They had like puffy hair and leaf clothes or something like that.

  • i like this version better? why? they use the original txt from the book also Roald dahl dislikes the old version and ROALD DAHL IS EPIC

  • i love how willy is always calm and enjoying the music well the parents are like WTF HAPPENED TO MY KID!! I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!

  • @lovedove203 What money? They didn't pay to be there, they're just there cuz their kids found a ticket in a candy bar.

  • @whitebishop1 well they payed for the chocolate bar with a ticket in it

  • The lyrics move my heart.

  • Cant beat the classic!

  • moonshadow, by cat stevens, similar..no?

  • Such a creepy song until the end, bye bye loving dad.

  • Those oompa loompas sound high.

  • this is gay!

    i miss the old song...

  • @thechattyshow1234 It was the same guy. They used effects to clone him.

  • @LoathingDragon sort of, but really, he had to dance once every time you see him, its just that they combined the 'one person' scenes to form the visual effects.

  • where did they get all of those actors from?

  • lol i think only johnny depp could've pulled of Willy Wonka

  • i hate the new willy wonka movie so much gene wilder one was funny this one was creepy i think tim burton only knows how to make creepy weird movies

  • @thetintowers I heard this once, I don't know if it is true but Tim Burton remakes movies that he hates.

  • old oopmas are way better fudge these clones.

  • those 64 ppl were veruca's friends and family

  • really japenese

  • I often get the feeling people only hate on this version because they see it as a remake of the 70's film and not just another adaptation of the book. (Some have better reasons, but I'm sure most think this way) I do personally prefer the 70's film, sure, but this one gets major points for staying closer to the source material. What people forget is that Charlie's supposed to be a "saint". The whole idea is that Charlie wins because he's the only good kid. The 70's film kinda contradicts that.

  • @slashermaster28 It's not just that which I give this major points for though. Another is that it uses the Oompa Loompa songs FROM THE BOOK! What annoyed me about the 70's film is that it just uses different variations of the same song (Which is kind of bland) for every kid. I will agree with haters on Willy Wonka. I don't mind the pale skin (He's spent his life in insolation, after all) but he comes across as pedophilic at times and, yeah, the film does focus a tad too much on him.

  • @slashermaster28 you could write a book about it_

  • What I loved about this version compared to the original (which I love a lot too) is that they actually used the lyrics of the Oompa Loompa songs from the book.

  • Welp, there goes my childhood.

  • "Dancing queen"?

  • veruca salt ,

    the little bitch.

has just gone down the garbage shit.

    lol lyrics :D

  • Good thing there's about three weeks of rotten garbage to break their fall.

  • i like this vershine but i love the old vershion

  • Horrid smeeellLOL

  • if i were veruca when her dad started falling i would of been like "oh s*** im gonna die"

  • sorry book, not books

  • I love Tim Burton(:

  • Bleh! Those little bastards are abominable! I miss the old Oompa Loompas.

  • @tassadar32

Those old Oompa Loompas were abominable....

  • Its just amazing,Its a mix of fun, formalness, Mysteriousness, Complexness & just the amazing Choreography,It just gives the right balance of everything in this movie..I love It,We used to watch this movie again and again even though it was a bit kiddish...

    xD

  • @tassadar32 These ones are a lot more like the Oompa Loompas from the book. The Gene Wilder film will always be a classic and its a better film than the Tim Burton one IMO but where the songs and Oompa Loompas are concerned, this movie's a lot closer. Plus the original author of the book Roald Dahl detested the Gene Wilder film.

  • @Kaagh178 according to both wikipedia and IMDB Roald Dahl actually helped write the screenplay for the Gene Wilder film. I dont understand how he would detest it afterwards.

  • @ericblr Who knows? But apparently he did. He had his reasons I guess. Its his vision after all. Sometimes when you write something and others try to help visualise it, it doesn't turn out quite as you had originally hoped. The story goes that they wanted to adapt the sequel 'Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator' but Dahl wouldn't allow it because he hated the first film. To that end Tim Burton couldn't have adapted the sequel even if he had wanted to.

  • Wonka's expression at 1:33 is evil, he wants them to fall.

  • eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeee

  • I didn't know Miley Cyrus was in Charlie & The Chocolate Factory :L

  • Aaaahaaa

  • this one is more like the book than the original movie. That's what I've heard anyway.

  • @TheAussiechick111

It is. Fans of the other movie don't care about the book though....

  • Am I the only person who is seriously terrified by Oompa Loompas???!!!???!!

  • I prefer the original movie, but on the other hand I love these Oompa Loompa songs so much more than the original ones... and Johnny Depp's Willy Wonka kinda grows on you. He still can't beat Gene Wilder, though. And I don't really like his backstory.

  • When my over-demanding gf and I broke up, I went home and played this substituting Veruca Salt for my gf's name. It makes me laugh even to this day. "Jennifer went down the garbage shoot......." LOL

  • lolledrol

  • HIPPIE SONG!

  • She was spoiled like the food go figure :|

  • Wow. I'm kinda glad I never watched this version. The original is much better. :\

  • I would scream Down the hole after the dad:

    "Shame you tripped!"

  • oompa loompa amzing right??? :))

  • although this songs scares me. IT WILLY WONKA !!!!!!!

  • listen to it in spanish! :D

  • I always knew Johnny Depp made small men sing when other people were assumed to be dead.

  • @TheMagicCamcorder They weren't dead, they were just dirty or a balloon or chocolatey or flat ( mike tevee ) when they came out of the factory

  • 63 people gone down the garbage shute

  • The original is so much better.

  • @jimjimmyjames59

    sooo true. ^^'

in this movie, the Umpa Lumpa scenes are so overdone. ^^'

Whats the point of those exagerated choregraphies ? ^^'

They're supposed to be workers, not ballet dancers ! XS

0:29 ABBA Lumpa ! XD lol

  • @jimjimmyjames59 But the recent one is so much more accurate. There is a lot of things that they changed in the old one.

  • @poggymoose Except for the entire back story about his childhood. I prefer the mystery that is Willy Wonka instead of the Lifetime version. However, to each his own.

  • @jimjimmyjames59 They are both good movies. YOU LOSE! GOOD DAY SIR!

  • @EternalRainfall I guess the concept of "to each his own" is lost on you.

  • @jimjimmyjames59 I don't see "to each his own" mentioned anywhere in the comment I replied to?

  • the original is far superior to the shitty Burton remake.

All his movies since Corpse Bride where total crap.

  • i think i saw this oompa-loompa guy in Transformers 2

yeah that little guy at the border between Egipt and Iordania

  • @MFCepicTV Yeah he gets around a bit. I'm pretty sure I saw him last week smoking a cigarette outside my school.

  • @Tactual did you ask him an autograph?

  • @MFCepicTV yea thats him

  • Personally I preferred the eggs.

  • @NinjaRacoonDelta But the eggs weren't in the book, This movie is ten times more accurate.

  • @NinjaRacoonDelta Yeah, and I preferred multiple talented dancers to one clone.

  • @NinjaRacoonDelta Yeah but its squirrels in the book, despite that i prefer eggs too

  • @NinjaRacoonDelta yeah I liked when he said "I Guess She Really is a bad egg"

  • @NinjaRacoonDelta Read a book sometime to know the facts.

  • @cutegirl00179 finally someone wh actually has read the book

  • @NinjaRacoonDelta actually, in the books, they use squirrels, not geese

  • @NinjaRacoonDelta me too

  • @NinjaRacoonDelta tbh the whole old film was better

  • @payneo218

    The old film sucked....

  • @GothicZM you sir have no taste in films... i bet you also love Call of duty and Xbox/ps3

  • @payneo218

And that's the exact response I was expecting. No, it has nothing to do with taste in movies. It has to do with my interest for good storytelling, my interest in good filmmaking, and my interest for proper adaptation of Roald Dahl's material.

Also, I am not a fan of Call of Duty, and I take that you mentioning it now means you probably have played Call of Duty more than I ever will....

  • @GothicZM so you think this kind of story telling is good? also the film making was amazing considering the time frame, with this tripe all the did was put lets get the old movie pump more money and CGi into it and people will pay to watch it

  • @payneo218

I think most Roald Dahl fans and film fans think this storytelling is good, and no, the 1970s film was not amazing, even with the timeframe.

About putting this movie together. What happened in this one is the filmmakers decided to do something that those behind the 1970s film didn't, care about Roald Dahl's book. So what they did here was do a good adaptation of Roald Dahl's material, and people who have been waiting for a good adaptation of the book, watched this movie....

  • @GothicZM When you say "care" you mean Put the names of the characters names from the book, and higher actors with as much personality as a carrot, johnny depp's acting was So bad in this he showed no emotion, i like most of his work, he showed more emotion in edward scissorhands then in this and he only said like 4 lines, there was no passion in his voice, no anger, no love at best was just vague interest. also int he book the Oompa-Loompas where white with gold hair (after being changed)

  • @payneo218

Nope. When I say care, I mean actually do a good job adapting the material, not making Charlie and thieving kid, and not making Grandpa Joe an unlikeable prick, and not making Wonka a stoner. Depp played Wonka much more like the childlike minded man that he was supposed to be, and he did a great job at being that type of person, and there were plenty of scenes where he shows emotion sadness, confusion, shyness in his mannerisms and voice. Also, good for the Oompa Loompas....

  • @GothicZM if he was portraying a child the child must have autism, you are the only person i have ever spoken to (well typed) that says they like this 1 better i think you just hate nostalgia

  • @payneo218

Nope. I like nostalgia just fine. I listen to all the old Disney songs just for that feeling of nostalgia. If I'm the only person you've ever spoken to that says they like this one better, that's probably because you don't talk to anybody....

  • 62 people went down the garbage shoot
