OMG absolutely the best singer in the world. his voice is unbelievable. Makes me want to cry and I have goose bumps everytime I hear him. Long live the King.
On this date in 1970 {Feb. 28th} Simon & Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" became the #1 record on Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; it stayed in the top spot for six weeks...
Won the 1971 Grammy for "Record of the Year" and "Song of the Year"...
Elvis Presley was a great singer and great performer. He was not alone during that era. You had to have the chops to get a contract back then. Today, its smoke, mirrors and manufactured sound.
amazing, strong, breathtaking. too few people feel it like that nowadays, wonder why. i wont say i dont like modern music, but i definitely dont find it that charming.

With the music industry the way it is now (image/aimed at teenage girls Bieber/Gaga/Del Rey) I can say with utter confidence there will never be another Elvis, The Beatles, Cat Stevens, Aimee Mann just those shit artists already listed and more dubstep types. In some ways its great to be from this generation (greater understanding of science, religion retreating etc) but also the worst (shit music, world being destroyed and the media being horrendous)

@Rescuebroke I would like to back your statement up. I saw Elvis sing this in 1972 in Indianapolis, I am a typical male and Elvis came within a fraction of bringing me to tears! I'm 60 years old now and my sister, who was with me, still says he will never forget the expression that was on my face that night Elvis sang this! I'm not sure if Elvis was a Godsend, not that religious, but something was going on with this guy! Too much talent, looks and a great guy too! Hard to explain?
In fact Elvis didn,t like the title KING ( as MJ does) there was only one king for him and that was Jesus Christ. Man he was realy the greatest artist of all time and will never be forgotten. Not interested in the Debate going on below me. All I know is this is FANTASTIC!!!! Thank you for posting this, truly Amazing song sung by the King. I Love You Elvis!!!!
Ok ok, you've won me over. The man was a musical genious! NOT! Ha! You know you've lost the arguement when you have to resort to using ALL CAPITAL LETTERS in your reply, and insulting someone who just happens to disagree with your opinion! Angry, much? When I said he was ripping off black artists, I meant, obviously, artists in the rock and roll genre, not mainstream. He himself cited these artists as an influence, so where's the arguement? You need to broaden your musical knowledge somewhat.
Opinions are like assholes, evaone has one ... \m/.. we just need to respect each others, dz how we learn from each other.. peace forever .. LOve this song ..Elvis was great ..\m/..p.e.a.c.e.
lol at the people starting arguments here. get some taste people. this is an absolutely amazing rendition of the song and anyone with half a brain would be able to tell that.
He killed one of my favourite songs! One of the most over rated performers EVER! Never wrote a note of music in his life, and had an awful voice. Fromage peddler!
Are u serious?.........one of the STUPIDEST comments I ever read here. I sense a bit of jealousy or bitterness? He hasn't been THE KING for the past 56 years FOR NOTHING! He made this song HIS OWN. So if u don't like it, move on to something else. Absolutely ridiculous.
@Phoenix7878 Hey, be cool! It's not like I called your Mum a nasty name or anything! We're all entitled to our opinion, and I have expressed mine! If you're honest, you MUST agree that he ripped off every black artist he encountered when he was starting out, and it was only due to racial prejudice at that time, that they never got the breaks HE, as a white performer got. And before you even think it, I'm white! Yes he was the King.........BURGER KING!
Some advice: don't EVER do stand-up. And yes u are entitled to your opinion, the problem is that it sucks. You're a victim of the media's spin on Elvis. And if u don't believer me, ask yourself something....If what you're saying is true, I'm pretty sure Elvis would have faded away because he "ripped off black artists" & because it was a very turbulent time in the '50's & he was white. So why then is he arguably the biggest phenomenon in history? Hmmm...
@kooshconti Now you're just being silly. The biggest phenomenon in history? Apart from Einstein, Gutenberg, Columbus, Ts'ai Lun etc of course? Reality check please! You may like his voice, but lets keep it in context! The Burger King jibe was crass, but ask any non 'fan' what Elvis is remembered for, and they will surely reply, 'Dying on the toilet'! Sad, but true. Now, I'm going to do something more interesting with my time! Goodbye.
@ThePussycats3 no dude Elvis was found dead there! The guy death was fishy lots of jealous bastards around him! He died on the very same day he was packing up and flying on tour! His death was also unexpected he was found face swollen and purplish, his tongue was sticking out of his mouth and his eyeballs were blood red! They couldn't recognize him when he was found! Elvis was actually killed probally choked to death! Elvis isn't sad it humanity that's sad!
@TimeChaser123 Yes, those are signs of being choked to death, his murder was concealed , still is. The Coroner was paid off as were other ppl.I'm convinced his EVIL ex wife had him killed.Notice how fast she just took things over.
@thecolaratlady But the truth NEVER stays hidden forever bro! The true cause of Elvis death was indeed concealed! You could be right his ex-wife was prolly behind it! There was also a poor autopsy report done on his cause of death! It was never done properly! :)
his TRUTH is marching on like the man himself said! God bless you sis!
@ThePussycats3 Are you truly this stupid???????? music..by both whites as well as blacks and including hispanics did MORE for civil rights then all of the marches, speeches COMBINED. btw..Chris Tief Come Rob us was a MURDERING THIEF! you dont like his music then why are you even here jackass?
@thecolaratlady Enough with the 'stupid' insults. It's too easy to just call someone stupid, who happens to disagree with your opinion or taste. I'm not the one using bad grammer in my replies! Non whites and ethnic minorities did not get the air play or publicity that whites, who ripped off their sound, got. FACT! Look at a history book sometime. It is also a fact that Elvis NEVER wrote a musical note in his life. He was, at best, a caricature of himself! An unintelligent oik.
@ThePussycats3 Yup, you are truly that STUPID! LIKE IT OR NOT, WHERE THE HELL YOU THINK THAT MUSIC CAME FROM? IT CAME ,ELVIS HIMSELF SAID THAT IT WAS A HUGE INFLUENCE FROM THE MINORITY PEOPLE! AMAZING LOL GO TO ANOTHER PAGE IF YOU DONT LIKE WHAT PPL ARE SAYING DAMN JACKASS
@ThePussycats SUCCESSFUL AFRICAN AMERICAN SINGERS IN THE 1950'S : Ella Fitzgerald,Sarah Vaughn,Dinah Washington,Duke Ellington,Ray Charles,Little Richard,. Fats Domino, Chuck Berry,Harry Belafonte,Nat King Cole, The Platters,and even MORE.all of these ppl had VERY SUCCESSFUL careers in the music industry and was listened to by not only black but whites as well.And Amazing,they ALL received ALOT of airplay smh,Elvis IS still 1 of the most popular singers of all time.what a dumbass
Your postings are super . This is great . Lets not forget he had some of the best musicians in that band and some of the best back up singers that carried alot of those songs over the years .
@Phoenix7878 I see your Not a musician and do not know just how good his band and back up singers were . The use of the word King might of worked 30 yrs ago . I do like him on alot of songs .....But his voice was not the best as alot think . And you seem to be very bitter . Do not forget how he ruined his own life with drugs . That was His choice and it was a very poor choice .
oh here we go. YOU see my friend, I AM a musician and he picked the best band because he knew much more about music that most give him credit. The word King seems to still work fine today, that's what separates him from everyone else. As far as his voice, THE BEST. And as for the last part of ur comment, educate yourself before u run him down. I know more about that stage of his life than most, so PM me if u wanna get schooled, U seem to be the bitter one?
@Phoenix7878 From all your comments to people I do not belive you are a musician and If you are , Your not highly trained in music .
No idea why you are going off on some ...... Being a musician I only put what I like on my channel .... And I have to like everything about it . I think he did great with this And I do like a few others of his . But do I think he was the best .... No I do not .
Not an over dub, not a multi voice track and absolutely definitely NOT an auto-tuner in sight. Just one of the worlds greatest entertainers singing. Of course its not the same as Artie! but it most assuredly IS The King! Such a shame this wasn't filling stadia the world over rather than restricting himself to the Vegas years.
He needed uppers and downers for more than sleeping. He took tablets to eat,he took tablets to shit. It had a lot to do with the fact that even though he could sing, he could do fuck all else. The fat fuck couldn't read or write.
I want to get the mp3 version of this for my ipod, but the above link directs me to an inferior studio version. Is it possble to get this version?

He killed one of my favourite songs! One of the most over rated performers EVER! Never wrote a note of music in his life, and had an awful voice. Fromage peddler!
ThePussycats3 1 month ago
@ThePussycats3
Phoenix7878 1 month ago
@Phoenix7878 Hey, be cool! It's not like I called your Mum a nasty name or anything! We're all entitled to our opinion, and I have expressed mine! If you're honest, you MUST agree that he ripped off every black artist he encountered when he was starting out, and it was only due to racial prejudice at that time, that they never got the breaks HE, as a white performer got. And before you even think it, I'm white! Yes he was the King.........BURGER KING!
ThePussycats3 1 month ago
@ThePussycats3
Hmmm...
Phoenix7878 1 month ago
@ThePussycats3 If there was so much racial prejudice when Elvis started why are 14 of the top 20 best sellers in theUS darkies
TheOnlyOneKingElvis 1 month ago
the king,what a voice.fuckin great.
kooshconti 1 month ago

TimeChaser123 1 month ago
@TimeChaser123 Yes, those are signs of being choked to death, his murder was concealed , still is. The Coroner was paid off as were other ppl.I'm convinced his EVIL ex wife had him killed.Notice how fast she just took things over.
thecolaratlady 1 month ago
@thecolaratlady But the truth NEVER stays hidden forever bro! The true cause of Elvis death was indeed concealed! You could be right his ex-wife was prolly behind it! There was also a poor autopsy report done on his cause of death! It was never done properly! :)
his TRUTH is marching on like the man himself said! God bless you sis!
TimeChaser123 1 month ago
@TimeChaser123 GOD BLESS YOU BRO!

@ThePussycats3 Are you truly this stupid???????? music..by both whites as well as blacks and including hispanics did MORE for civil rights then all of the marches, speeches COMBINED. btw..Chris Tief Come Rob us was a MURDERING THIEF! you dont like his music then why are you even here jackass?
thecolaratlady 1 month ago
@thecolaratlady Enough with the 'stupid' insults. It's too easy to just call someone stupid, who happens to disagree with your opinion or taste. I'm not the one using bad grammer in my replies! Non whites and ethnic minorities did not get the air play or publicity that whites, who ripped off their sound, got. FACT! Look at a history book sometime. It is also a fact that Elvis NEVER wrote a musical note in his life. He was, at best, a caricature of himself! An unintelligent oik.
ThePussycats3 1 month ago
@ThePussycats3 Yup, you are truly that STUPID! LIKE IT OR NOT, WHERE THE HELL YOU THINK THAT MUSIC CAME FROM? IT CAME ,ELVIS HIMSELF SAID THAT IT WAS A HUGE INFLUENCE FROM THE MINORITY PEOPLE! AMAZING LOL GO TO ANOTHER PAGE IF YOU DONT LIKE WHAT PPL ARE SAYING DAMN JACKASS
thecolaratlady 1 month ago
@ThePussycats SUCCESSFUL AFRICAN AMERICAN SINGERS IN THE 1950'S : Ella Fitzgerald,Sarah Vaughn,Dinah Washington,Duke Ellington,Ray Charles,Little Richard,. Fats Domino, Chuck Berry,Harry Belafonte,Nat King Cole, The Platters,and even MORE.all of these ppl had VERY SUCCESSFUL careers in the music industry and was listened to by not only black but whites as well.And Amazing,they ALL received ALOT of airplay smh,Elvis IS still 1 of the most popular singers of all time.what a dumbass
thecolaratlady 1 month ago
Your postings are super . This is great . Lets not forget he had some of the best musicians in that band and some of the best back up singers that carried alot of those songs over the years .
JazzzDrummer 1 month ago 11
@JazzzDrummer
oh ok, so that's what makes him THE KING. Now it all makes sense
Phoenix7878 1 month ago
@Phoenix7878 I see your Not a musician and do not know just how good his band and back up singers were . The use of the word King might of worked 30 yrs ago . I do like him on alot of songs .....But his voice was not the best as alot think . And you seem to be very bitter . Do not forget how he ruined his own life with drugs . That was His choice and it was a very poor choice .
JazzzDrummer 1 month ago
@JazzzDrummer
oh here we go.
Phoenix7878 1 month ago

@TigerGuy13 blame that Parker over worked him and rest is history and all Elvis hates
leave us alone
Elvis was and still is greatest enterainer this world ever had RIP Elvis xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

He needed uppers and downers for more than sleeping. He took tablets to eat,he took tablets to shit. It had a lot to do with the fact that even though he could sing, he could do fuck all else. The fat fuck couldn't read or write.

@alslevie1986 And while you are thinking about eating and shiting, just listen his singing
