I remember I used to see a lot of those yard waste Zarns with black lids up in San Pedro. All the bins used to be totally scattered around there, I just remember seeing bins all flipped upside down, lids torn off and halfway into the street...the trucks there were seriously violent. If you ever want Mack LEs I think the yard there at one point used to have some. It'd be a cool place to film.
@Trashman242 thanks! yea theres some really violent trucks, but not all of them are that violent. I started puttn the region it was filmed in the title partly for my own sake remembering where I filmed it, and so people dont need to ask, In my volvo video from Angelino Heights, I got a repoter asking to use my video in a city wide publication about activities through the city, the author thought it was a neat hobby. I was happy to have it featured in a city publication
Clip starting at 4:13... plenty of garbage bins out the front... collection of townhouses I am guessing? I found a spot in Wollongong with shitloads of bins (and I mean shitloads of bins) lined up along a particular stretch of road... worth a look when it goes up =] Sweet footage! Keen gardeners in that last clip.
Damn good work, Mike. Fast and efficient trucks unlike the new ones Republic has.
Ah look at all the Zarns just chillin' in their natural habitat in the beginning of the video. It's too bad the one @ 1:08 will be in my backyard this summer. ROFL
@100Burrtec100 Same as trash, greens and recycling, By a good ol Amrep ASL! I have plans to film that this summer. I know of an area with lines and lines of carts.
@trashman771 If LA never left Zarn Roto and Toter they would have a hell of a lot less cart replacing needed.... They shoulda gotten Zarn in all sizes though. Same with toter. The rotos were back when they only offered 90 gals so that wasnt an option lol
@3amrepmike3 some of the platopans have lasted a while also. basically the rehrigs are made of cheap plastic. wish i could see that area with all the rotos! sounds dope! i remeber u got some video of a truck over ther a while ago
Awesome!! All trucks have something unique about em. The driver 553 @ the end on greenwaste reminded me of Will in a way rofl i dont know why it just does!
Nicely done. Nice to see some Zarns left in this area. I wonder why some green Zarns wind up with black lids but there are no other brands with a different cart to lid color in LA (except for Seans toter near the end lol). Also he still has that Pasadena Toter (assuming it is the same one) wow! I wish LA would get Toters again. But I fear it will be another 5 years in hell with Rehrig.

@mtr82952 the zarns with black lids are the first zarns given out for greenwaste
garbageboy2009 10 months ago
@mtr82952 The toters and zarns have either black or green lids on them for yardwaste. Thats just they way they did things then.
3amrepmike3 10 months ago
@3amrepmike3 On alright, did they replace broken lids then or somthing so carts would wind up mis-matched?
mtr82952 10 months ago
@mtr82952 no they bought black lids on green carts for a long time then just went solid green for some reason
3amrepmike3 10 months ago
@3amrepmike3 Oh alright.
