For all those interested in a better RP experience on Freelancer, please google "Discoverygc freelancer". On the server if you die you are not allowed to interact in that system or that person for 4 hours...and no I am not affiliated with this mod aside from playing it..

I love freelancer, just hate the online play... it's all nothing but [R]'s and [X]'s gunning you down and following you all over the server to harass you all day.... every stinking one of them. PVP in space shooter mmo's is akin to having a perpetual FPS match... all you do is fight and noone could care less about the rest of the game. You could put 1000 new systems in the game and noone would see them... they'd be too busy outside the starting area blowing each other up.

Freelancer is one of my fave space combat games. Tons of mods, and the gameplay is just a good blend between an arcade game and a bit of the techie stuff (unlike x3)

It is a pity though. So few players play this anymore, and its such a great base for modding too! I mean, some games based off of Freelancer are hundreds of times better than Company Giant-sponsored or made games. Its sad, really.

NO! Global server is permanently down, everybody know that. U have to know server IP to direct connect.

No offence but this video was badly made. - Not enough gameplay - The gameplay could have been from any server or mod. - The texts were extremely hard to make out. - Too much flashyness.

You should keep it simpler if you want people to download this mod.

That´s true I know. But mod is still in progress. -> not enough gameplay and footage.

I´ll make better video. Somethink like a documentary with commentary about new thinks and possibilities in this mod... Don´t worry :-)

Heh i think i had some old evo mod a few years ago... I'm not a big fan of big mods for FL, but i liked this one mod that had like Battlestar galactica ships and stuff. It had Freespace 2 guns also. So it was pretty sweet.

But yeah, next vid, show more "flesh"... Actual gameplay,what's different, ships, costs etc etc.. Could make it like 5-10 mins too, might be interesting to see an actual showcase of the mod before attempting to DL it with my bandwidth.
