Yes, Barbara was expecting, 'Hamsters'- right after the pilot was filmed in December 1964, she found out. Sidney Sheldon filmed as many episodes as possible, between March and May 1965, before she "bloomed" too much in front of the camera (how many "above the waist" shots or times Jeannie folded her arms over her tummy could they get away with?). Ten episodes were filmed while Barbara was pregnant [with several close-ups refilmed as late as July], before she gave birth to Matthew that August.

This episode originally aired on October 30, 1965 (in black & white), and was filmed around the end of April, when Barbara was almost six months pregnant- the idea was to film as many episodes as possible before she "bloomed" too much [and before her baby was born the following August]...the bigger she got, the higher the camera angles (and "above-the-waist" shots) focused on her. This was also the first episode to feature Jeannie in a "giant" surrounding {inside Tony's jacket pocket}.
