Kathy Dalton is my Mother's cousin. She married and lives in the Santa Barbra area. I haven't seen her in years, but I have all her albums, and have put Amazing Kathy Dalton on CD. She is great and I love her voice.
if anyone knows where to get a copy of "Justine" by Kathy Dalton, please let me know. I heard it on the radio a few times, and was sorry I never bought it. thanx
It apparently is the same Kathy Dalton. I had long wondered what ever happened to her. Saw her open for Frank Zappa and the Mothers in Boston in 1973. Her debut album, titled "Amazing" was on Zappa's DiscReet Records label, and had Little Feat as the backing band. The song "Boogie Bands and One Night Stands" was not originally on that album, but when she put out the single and it got some airplay, they reissued the "Amazing" album with that song added and the "Boogie Bands..." title.
I've been looking for a copy of "Boogie Bands and One Night Stands" for 30 years! It was on the jukebox at a now-defunct bar I used to go to. Haven't had any luck finding it in any form, or much on Kathy Dalton, either. I also wonder if this is the same singer. If anyone has any info, please e-mail me. Thanks!
I have a copy of both versions of her albums ("Amazing" and "Bogoie Bands And One Night Stands") In those days I bought anything with Little Feat/Lowell George on it (ie Van Dyke Parks - "Discover America"). I loved these albums and have remastered them to digital. If you want any other info let me know>

Listen to Kathy's vocals on Van Dyke Parks' Jump! album - the songs 'An Invitation to Sin' and 'After The Ball' are sublime...!!!
