I had a government employee, who was Spanish, tell me they could not help me get a CDL to drive a truck because I was skilled. Well, my skill was not sale able because there WERE NO JOBS IN

You left out a key phrase. "Not simply" could also be read as NOT ONLY. You have to remember that stimulus was meant to create NEW jobs and get people re-employed, not raise salaries of existing workers, who just happen to be white males. This story was so twisted by the media, it's quite sad.

as far as not judging people based on race and culture, do you propose I get to know each individual I encounter in my life? Where do you find the time? In reality what we have to do is make judgment calls based on past experience, and in my own experience, there are races and cultures that it is safer for me to avoid. Is that profiling? Yes. When I was laid off in 2002 and out of a job for 1.5 years because I was over qualified, I ended up going to 'Work Force' a government agency who is supposed to help ALL unemployed people find jobs. I had a government employee, who was Spanish, tell me they could not help me get a CDL to drive a truck because I was skilled. Well, my skill was not sale able because there WERE NO JOBS IN

I never said it was "ok to be racist on latinos". I think all borders should be protected including the northern ones. Transporting a truck from Canada to the USA is just as hard in the north as the south judging by the long lines I have seen from the Canada side.
I lived and worked in Japan in 1998 and if I did not have the right visa, I would have been deported. All countries have immigration laws including Canada and Mexico to protect their citizens.
