I was liking the ferrari 458 better but the more I look at the 911 turbo the more its personality suits me more. I'd get the ferrari if I only wanted to show off. But the 911 turbo is just pure class and I think it's better for an everyday car. And also the interior blows away ferrari's. Think i'm sold :D

Everybody talking about the Nissan GTR needs to understand that Porsche isnt only about the fastest car. It is the overal package. Sure the ZR1 is even faster, but is it as rewarding? Im not saying one car is better than the other. But most of us one these forums, including me, havent driven either; so we cant really say. And yes I am done with my car tantrum:)

When building a race car, style is one of the LAST things a company considers. And by no means do I think this thing's ugly! It's just that cars of this caliber are geared much more strongly toward aerodynamics than style. Porsche does both right.

Nothing special to me....They me be reliable and great to drive, but Porsches have never really changed in looks, and frankly, im sick of the sight of them. The first 911 looks not much different to this one, and i bet it will still be the same in 10 years or so. Its still nothing more to me than a VW Beetle on steriods. While other car makers are making incredible leaps in modern design, Porsche lags behind with relics f4om the 80's. Even Citroen have better looking concepts, notably, the GT.
I've owned Porsches for nearly 30 years. No other vehicle like them. Until you drive one, especially over several weeks and more, you have no idea what you're missing. Simply unreal.

I drove a 911 and it was heartbreaking... everything I'd ever preached about american muscle went right out the window, along with my 'Vette. Years later I still make excuses to go driving in my 911. I do miss being able to break my tires loose on the highway at 100km+ in 4th gear though, but the 911 is everything that it's ever been rumoured about.

Actually, the interior is terrcotta, not carrera red. Carrera red is bright where as this is a muted clay looking red. Beautiful either way :-)

I think a lot of reasonable people would take a CTS-V over a Porsche. You get a fast/attractive car AND you can do stuff with it. Not saying I don't love this Turbo, it would be great to have one.

Porsche's designs are like someone who is stuttering while they talk.... you just keep getting the same thing over and over. Sign me up for a Nissan GTR though! Faster around the track then a Murcielago LP640, Porsche Carrera GT, Koenigsegg CCX, McLaren SLR, and much, much fast then the 911 Turbo. And it just happens to be much, much less expensive then all of these cars too! :)

Ha! No I have not driven an M^ although I seem them everywhere here in Bucharest, Romania where I am based. I see lots of Porsche Turbos too. I have driven Porsches and of course the Turbo is amazing. I do like how the BMW looks. Mafiosos will drive a BMW often over a Porsche :)

My mates boss has a M6 and apprently when idle it sounds rubbish almost like a tractor but it sounds awesome when you boot it. Recently my mate was a passenger when they got it up to 170mph!

Nothing special to me....They me be reliable and great to drive, but Porsches have never really changed in looks, and frankly, im sick of the sight of them. The first 911 looks not much different to this one, and i bet it will still be the same in 10 years or so. Its still nothing more to me than a VW Beetle on steriods. While other car makers are making incredible leaps in modern design, Porsche lags behind with relics f4om the 80's. Even Citroen have better looking concepts, notably, the GT.

I've owned Porsches for nearly 30 years. No other vehicle like them. Until you drive one, especially over several weeks and more, you have no idea what you're missing. Simply unreal.
They are in a world all their own and anyone who tries to compare speed - yada, yada, yada and the like obviously has never driven/owned one nor has any visceral idea of what Porsche is all about.
I also own an Accura TSX, which is simply wonderful - fantastic.

Own one, you'll get it. I owned a Corvette for many years and you could not finish the Porsche sentence around me. I drove a 911 and it was heartbreaking... everything I'd ever preached about american muscle went right out the window, along with my 'Vette. Years later I still make excuses to go driving in my 911. I do miss being able to break my tires loose on the highway at 100km+ in 4th gear though, but the 911 is everything that it's ever been rumoured about.

dude, american? american cars arnt that good (except for the zr1 and mustang GT). honestly, id perfered a nissan GTR cuz its just as fast and cost way less thn the turbo. plus, on my opinion, the gtr is wwaayyy sexyer then the turbo. i just think keeping its original design is really dum.
