They definitely messed up Sekhmet here. They seem to have a thing for turning gods into villains, such as turning Anubis into a lowly hound. Honestly, Bastet seemed to be more like Sekhmet than this.
Well they messed up a bit in this episode; Sekhmet isn't the Goddess of Sickness and Healing :/. But I think they made her a bird in this because she's supposedly the Daughter of Ra, even though she's supposed to be a lioness, the fiercest hunter known to the ancient Egyptians.
You know, I think they mistaken Sekhmet as the goddess Isis a.k.a. Eset. From the description of the goddess Sekhmet in this episode, she seems to more closely resemble Isis, the REAL goddess of Health and Healing.
