Beautiful cat! What causes a cats teeth to have problems and is she still able to eat raw meat? How big is Freckles? It is good to know big wild cats like this are well cared for. :-)

We had a loss about 3 weeks before I went off this semester for college: our other cat had died completely unexpectedly, and the house went from having 7 people in it to only 3, since 4 of of us (including myself) took off for Oklahoma. I'll get to see him int he summer though, and he's coming with me when I get out of the dorms here :) Anyway, you take care, and stay strong. Cats forever!

Its unforuntate that many of these big cats will never be set free because they lack survival skills, BUT the MAJOR issue is habitat lose. Sorry kids, cause of us, these wonderful creatures don't have a wild home, just sanctuaries that you can hope are even close to Big Cat Rescue and Out of Africa

@eddieblackritual Freckles has her back teeth which the cats use to grind meat into smaller pieces to consume, so we fed her the same diet as the other cats and she was fine with it :)

It's so sad that people are purposely breeding this animal. They can only be bred in captivity and are mainly used for entertainment. They would never survive in the wild with all the health problems they have. I hope you're able to rescue more of these critters from their "trainers". Keep up the amazing work!
I realy love how company's help rescue animals and help them get better. This is just great, i think its such a nice thing to do, people who do this should be very proud of themselves.

@erik4727 We call them backyard breeders, these people earn a living from breeding big cats and selling them into the pet trade, for their body parts or into canned hunts where they are shot within an enclosed area to become a trophy.

I doubt people like you had ever donated money to BCR in the first place, leave alone support. BCR just wants such an abuse to be banned so that no more big cats to be abandoned or used for selfish commercial & leisure means; and more importanly discouraged wild animals to be kidnapped from their natrual habitants. I wanted to say the work you guys do is nothing short of amazing - I did a scientific presentation a few months ago in the college course I'm currently doing on the Bengal tiger mess. Highlighted how from the original orange/black tiger the mutations for pretty colours have appeared & captive breeding's just gone nuts!!

@wan2shuffle You're kidding right? Anyone who supports the entire exotic animal trade is responsible for creating such animal abuse. I doubt people like you had ever donated money to BCR in the first place, leave alone support. BCR just wants such an abuse to be banned so that no more big cats to be abandoned or used for selfish commercial & leisure means; and more importanly discouraged wild animals to be kidnapped from their natrual habitants. They want CLEAN money NOT dirty!

@AdvertChild98 I dont support the entire exotic pet trade. I mean if they are trying get the entire exotic pet trade banned. One if my hobbies is keeping snakes is part of the exotic pet trade. They have much better lives in captivity if the owner knows what they are doing. they never starve, and no predators

@CrazyPplez Ligers are not common in the wild because of how they are born, they are the mix between a male lion and a tigress, so actually the ligers we see are intentionally breed by humans

It's sickening how people consider a 'WILD' Animal a pet.
I'm 15, and it's saddening to hear and see how people can let these animals suffer in a backyard, or in a cage when they deserve to be in the wild. I appreciate what BCR does. I know it hurts them as much as it hurts viewers knowing how these animals were treated and spend their lives behind a cage. But, they got a pretty sweet home at BCR.

I hate it when people go hunting for fun or fill ants nests up with cement to see what it looks like inside it's so mean how would they like it if they drowned in cement but it's good they have animal rescue teams like this that help animals especially the endangered ones

Thanks for clearing things up for folks. There's unfortunately a video out there about a place that breeds them on purpose (but pretends it was an accident), a place that exploits big cats in the name of "conservation", and an attempt to whitewash the problem of Ligers/Tigons. watch?v=1zOWYj59BXI

They have a warped understanding about what "conservation" means, thus them saying that exploiting Ligers supposedly as ambassadors for "conservation" makes one question whether that's true in the correct sense. Their idea of "conservation" is wrong.
Then the other one offers taking photos with unrestrained cats, says Liger births were "by accident", and is just full of cringe-worthy ignorance. They're ridiculous!

lions and tigers should never breed together - its not natural just because they are cats. they wouldn't do this in the wild. poor thing looks like a deformed inbred.

@kyuketsukisan19 Yes, it was a "hey back off" roar, which we then did, it's important to show this side of these cats to our viewers rather then the cute and cuddly side all the time, they're wild, dangerous animals.

@altarush She was a naturally grumpy cat, she didn't trust that many people and we're unsure what happened to her in the past? The roar in this video was a personal space issue, she was just letting me know "go away I don't want to be filmed right now" so we did!

I wanted to say the work you guys do is nothing short of amazing - I did a scientific presentation a few months ago in the college course I'm currently doing on the Bengal tiger mess. Highlighted how from the original orange/black tiger the mutations for pretty colours have appeared & captive breeding's just gone nuts!!
I also refuse to acknowledge Ligers as the biggest cats due to them being unnatural hybrids & I've passed this message out as well xx
