  • This was the original Trapp Family. Only Maria Franziska (* 1914), Rosmarie (* 1929), Eleonore (* 1931) and Johannes (* 1939) are still alive.

    Rupert (1911-1992), Agathe (1913-2010), Werner (1915-2007), Hedwig (1917-1972), Johanna (1919-1994) and Martina (1921-1951).

  • What wonderfully musical and heartfelt singing! How much more meaningful than listening to some of the technically and academically perfect but downright icy performances you hear of Bach's music today!

  • In English, there is a hymn to this tune. It's called "O, Sacred Head Now Wounded".

  • @rickyfan3956 The name oh the hymn is actually "Oh Sacred Head Surrounded"

  • @SuperYmmat Actually, it appears there were several English translations of the same song, and each translation had a different name. So we're both right.

  • @SuperYmmat Catholics sing "surrounded", Protestants sing "wounded". Odd, but true.

  • 大好きな曲です。本当に美しいですね・・・・。

  • Wonderful!!! Thanks for posting!
