    STRONG.

    'nuff sed.

  • this and maggy are probely there best hard rock songs

  • ozzy also played at this same show xyz did pretty well to open for ozzy

  • Diglio is one of my favorite guitarists of the 80s. Always plays some tasty riffs.

  • What happened to the framerate? The video is insanely choppy.

  • This is marc diglio right? amazing !

  • The one and only

  • Terry worked with an old Guitarist Band mate of mine, Jeff Northrup. only met him once. pretty much think he's a great singer. the "Cage" CD they did together had some great stuff on it. and great players.

  • @drumdude46 northrup also did a album with paul shortino from rough cutt it aint half bad its called northrup/shortino i beileve

  • @motleycrue24 correct, crue24. i'm playing drums on Body and Soul, Kid is back in town, and Everybody can Fly. did it with Jeff in San Fransico around 1992 i believe. other drummers on there are James Kottak from The Scorpions, Carmine and his Brother Vinnie Appice, and a host of other Celeb's Singing, Strumming, Pounding! lol! Northrup is going to be doing a new CD first of 2011.

with orig. Bassist Larry hart, me, Jeff, and a new singer. cheers!

  • What happened to the framerate of this video? It's now all choppy.

  • this song rocks i still blast it in my car even when i stop at a red light and the ladies stare ...lol marc diglio is a fuckin amazing guitarist

  • oh man you said it bro. hungry changed my life! he is an absolutely unbelievable player. His sweeping technique will match any of the greats if not top them. just so creative.

i don't know whats going on with him these days tho

  • what a shame nobody knows marc diglio.. anybody can tell whether is he still playing or not?

  • I so agree with you on this. More people should know about Marc. One fantastic guitarist! I've read one interview saying that Marc is into country music, but I'm not sure how much he's performing nowadays.

  • incredible song, essential, and still so catchy.. the more u pay attnetion to the guitar the more u realize it's so scary tough..

    incredible

  • You need to listen to the CD to appreciate the guitarist skills playing this song...

    This live version is amazing....

  • hem de cok guzel :)

  • guzel

  • great great great really dig it

  • Great!

  • this band stole their name from a group collaberated by X Yes and Zeppelin(hence XYZ) and the guitarist is only really playing power chords, his solo is pretty simple too, haha.

  • doesn't have to be complex, it can be as creative as it gets but if the player is playing out of tune all the time its pointless...he's a good player no matter how you look at it

most of Eric Johnson's stuff is pentatonic which isn't getting too wild, its how you play it that makes it interesting.

    MAB is boring though lol.

  • The ROAD WARRIOR haircut.(go! go! we go in!)

  • what a voice omfg....he's in tune!!!! just like dio!!!

  • I saw this band back in the days whe metal ruled the earth.

  • Oh yeah! No hip hop bullshit back then!

  • Yeah man!! Hip Hop can´t light a candle for Hard Rock, 50Cent would wet his pants!!

  • ...yeah I think his name would change to 50P (P for pee his pance and P for British Pence it works nicely, he could do with a foreign currency exchange name change lol)...rock forever, take care :)

  • never heard of this band... the singer reminds me of dio a little bit.

the guitarist is amazing, holy shit!

  • Check out XYZ - HH boogie. He took 80's metal guitar playing to it's extreme.

  • Marc Diglio, he's great...HH Boogie has a friggen awesome riff. I love his tone too! Terry Illous can sing! Great band, underrated/unkown.

Marc is all over both of their first two records. Great solos, very clean...awesome phrasing.

  • his name isn't tony burnette, his name is mark and 19 years ago his wife's name was Patty

  • very talented band, very overlooked at thier time of rockin, thanks for the post.

  • I never knew a haircut determined someone's sexuality...

comments with insults generally hold little value, maybe criticize what you dont like about the music rather than how the guy looks and your opinions will be more valued

  • badass haircut

  • they are very overlooked

  • Thanks so much for posting this. Is there ANY MORE footage of this performance???

  • Wow, nice post!! I got the album ages ago and this is the first time I have ever seen these guys. They rocked, but I guess they just came a little too late like one poster says. "Face down in the Gutter", I think that opened the album. The guitarist was superb!!!

  • This kicks ASS..!!!

They have always been a favorite band of the era..

One of the most incredible debut albums EVER..!!

I agree...this band was greatly overlooked and underated...great musicians and a phenonminal voice..!!

  • Yeah totally. That is probably one of the worst mullets I've ever seen. I love his voice though. XYZ is so underrated.

  • One of the most incredible guitar players of that era; if you listen close. Nice Mullet on the singer though, and hard, ripping drumming(very hard, sneeky double bass licks everywhere)

  • The crowd seems dead??!! What's going on? These guys were awesome, and this is a bloody good live performance. Some people...

  • XYZ kicks ass

  • Dan72770,

    Where was this show at?

Been to the one in Hollywood,California.

XYZ arrived on the rock scene a little too late. They Rocked.

  • Sorry took so long but this show was from the Foudations Forum Awards Ceremony back in 1991 which was actually a weekend thing and I can't recall the hotel that it was at but it was in LA/Hollywood somewhere. yeah they did get on the scene to late what a shame.

  • Thanks for your response,my friend and I went to the Hollywood Palladium on a Friday night in 1991.

Great clip, hope you have many more too come.

    Thanks.

lancaster,it seemed like everyone at the show I was at in 1991,everybody wanted to go to the after show party, rather than watch the show, and besides XYZ was new at the time..

  • GRRRRRRRRREAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTT!!!

  • Marc Diglio rocked....very underrated guitar player.

  • XYZ Freaking Rocked!!! they were an awesome band, I miss the good old 80'S stuff!!!

  • Great video!!!

  • that is one crazy mullet!
