  • Very nice as always Griff. Perhaps I missed it, but while your explanation is understood, I've always understood these as "Intervals" and such as a octave (8) being eight notes from the root, ie; eight from the root B is B, thirds is three from the root, thus three from B is D, 4th's are four notes away, etc. Not trying to teach you so no disrepect, just thought this could help those viewers by giving another angle if I understand right what you are explaining here. Happy New Years
