i got a question about the footswitch. when i bought this amp they gave a a footswitch with a 1/4 cable instead of the 5 pin thing. is there any way i can still use the pedal by plugging it in somewhere other than the footswitch jack?
@LethalxBeats lol nice try. i use 2 guitars, an esp eclipse honeyburst w/ SD's, an old tele deluxe clone i recently re-wired and installed new pickups. i run them through an orange AD30 and marshall reissue cab w/ greenbacks, and through a decent board (cbf listing all the pedals). and before you say it, i gig regularly.
i am entitled to my opinion, im not a fan of that ugly pointy guitar, and i think the dude needs to work on the EQ and gain/vol balance.
For every 40 watts of tube, its euall to about 120 watts of solid state, so you do the math. also 50 watts is not 50 watts less then 100 watts. 100 watts is 20 % louder then 50 watts. So yes, it is more then enough for small gigs. single recs are soooo under rated.
it can do more than small gigs, i played an outdoor festival not too long ago and my other guitarist uses a 100 watt JCM 900 and i was equally as loud and we were cranking it. i didnt bring my volume past 4
50w is more than enough. think of it this way. you get miked up at gigs most of the time anyways. you really don't need to getting 100w amps. like 30w is easily enough. Kings of Leon for Example are Playing stadiums now, Caleb uses 30w matchless DC30s...
you should listen to their first two albums. the third was kinda successful and the fourth sucks ass and is their biggest album. the first two however are brilliant. raw rock and roll, their new stuff is catered for the ladies.
yeah 50w tube is loud. For some reason people always think that 100w is twice as loud as 50w but it's not the case. 10w would be half as loud as 100w. The single recto is definitely plenty loud for any occassion and the wattage is lower it means that it breaks up sooner into power tube distortion.

its about ohms...and...really and speaker size...just how you choose your heads and what cabs with them is crucial

1. How often do you replace your tubes
2. How much does it cost to replace tubs
3. does it get loud enough for stage.
susman65 3 years ago
1) Depends on how much you play, about every 8-12 months generally.
2) Depends on the tubes you want, including prof. work it will be about 50-100 bucks
3) HELL YES.

Very nice demo, a BC Rich for bluesy riffs, that's what versatility is all about.
metalgirl0 3 years ago
Hi Metalgirl, it is not really BCRich, the body is mahogany, manufactured by a Chilean luthier. so, yes: very versatile!

killerball093 3 years ago
