  • Hello Sir, Can you please post chords for old hindi songs like O Chand jahan woh jaye, Tum na jane kis jahan me kho gaye, main zindigika saath nibhata chala gaya etc. Regards, Dr. Vidyadhar Bapat

  • great songs!! try o chand in C, mukhda has mostly C, F, G .... try tum na jane in C#, mukhda has mostly C#, F#, G#

  • @pjalan Thanks Sir. You seem to be a great human being too, besides a genius musician. Attending every request. Regards

  • thanks for your kind words, dr vidyadhar ... god bless!

  • Hello Sir,

I have been following your videos for quite some time now and they are simply amazing..!!

I would really appreciate if you could put the chord names in the video itself while demonstrating as in this video.

    Ranjit

  • thanks ranjit :)

i've been doing that in all recent lessons .... sorry i missed it in this one ...

  • Hi Mr.Pawan .Its really easy to comprehend and rather a pleasure to learn playing songs seeing ur videos... By the way where do u put up ?and do u also conduct classes for advanced learning . I'm keen on learning scales and fills solos and theory etc......have picked up till a level through youtube videos itself.. But would be good to learn and also get feedback from a matured player like u.....

  • thanks arpan :) i used to take classes, absolutely no time now! but folks do come to me for help and i'm happy to do so .... i live in toronto, if u r ever down here, feel free to drop by for a jamming session :)

  • Your unique strumming style with fingers adds a beautiful flavor to every song - hats off.. seeing ur videos I've stopped using the pick [though i wasn't too good at that too :)]

  • thanks so much for your warm words, arpan :)

  • Loved the strumming just before your start playing along with the song

    beauty!

  • thanks :)

  • Hi! I need ur help could u pl. send chords of 'yeh chand sa roshan chehra' from kashmir ki kalli and if possible could u post a tutorial. thankx n tc

  • hi there :)

    try the song in E

    mukhda has mostly E, A and B

strumming is similar to lakhon hai yahan, pls check my lesson on that ...

  • Hey - which guitar do you have?

  • takamine eg341sc

  • sir thanks simply awesome!!! sir wanna ask u i am a beginner and wanna to sing along with chords wat i hav to do????/

  • lots of practice! start with simple songs ... first master singing the song ... sing along with the track .... then strum along with the track without singing .... once u r ok with that, then try doing both together !!!

  • sir, a song by mohd. rafi and lata mangeshkar from an evening in paris (raat ke humsafar ) . can u upload its chord lessons plz its just great.

and thanks a lot for uploading such great videos .

  • great song! original key is Cm, mukhda has mostly Cm, Bb, Fm, G# and G7

  • hi sir, request to update the technique "how to find chord for a particular song" .

  • check out my general guitar chord progression lessons ...

  • thanx sir..

  • perfect

  • thanks abhishek :)

  • Hi its amazing, i love to play but do not have idea of chords fingering, is there any video of yours showing fingers and chord progression kindly let me know.

Once again hatsoff to you for your marvellous teaching.

    Benhar

  • check out my general chord progression lessons - but if u r an absolute beginner, u shud first get the basics of chords before trying my lessons, try web sites like torrins.com - they have some great lessons ...

  • very nice sir.....actually i play piano nt guitar ... i know the melody part on piano on f major scale but needs chords to accompain the melody... can u help me figuring out the chords pls .....

  • i've played this in F#, you should be able to transpose it to F easily, is that your question?

  • @pjalan .... i didnt get you sir.... for f major scale which chords can i use ... ?

  • i guess you want to play in F instead of F#, right?

so just move back one note for all the chords i have used

    for instance, instead of F#, B, C#, D#m, etc .... play F, Bb, C, Dm, etc ...

    was that ur question??

  • its good work jalan thanks

  • thanx jay :)

  • thnx

  • pleasure!

  • so nice xplanation quite awesome. ur gr8 contribution 2 the music world & 4 the music lovers. thanx.

  • thanks, jagjitji

the song is awesome and inspires any musician ...

  • HI! your lessons are too gud..

A small suggestion - can you also give the 'Guitar Tablature" of the chords you are using.

I mean can you plz indicate which fret to place the fingers on for the chords you play.

Bcos i found it little difficult to find the fret/finger postion of chords you use from the video!

  • thanks for your feedback :)

the editing work takes so much time, i've been lazy in doing that!

there are some very good web sites that will give u all the positions u need to know for any chord - check out chordfind . com

  • Jalanji tussi great ho. I learn a lot from you and your guitar playing is a source of inspiration for me.

  • thanks my friend :)

glad u found my videos useful ...

    god bless

    pawan

  • hi...i just loved your videos...thank you so much...really appreciate it

just one thing...in the song 'yeh shaam mastani', the chords till the line 'aisa lage jaise koi... are perfect and it alternates between B and F# as you have demonstrated, but just when this line starts, the chord goes from F# to C and then to B quickly instead of remaining on F# and then going directly to B. It sounds much better.

Let me know if I make sense.

  • theoretically, that makes sense, as those notes would those chords. but if u try going by each note, then many songs may need 4 or more chord changes in a bar! that is too much, and most compositions will rely on one or two chord changes per bar to keep the harmonies smooth, unless u have strong beats and the musician wants to stress on each chord for dramatic effect ...

  • sirji u r awsm

  • dhanyavad :)

  • Pls Can U Send a video From which i can learn How to play the guitar

  • that's tough, u can't show that all in one video! check out web sites like justinguitar . com and torrins . com, they will provide u with very good beginner lessons ...

now adays rythm is giving tough time to me n mostly rythm is changed by me during playing...

plz give me some suggestionz....its problem for me

    thnx

  • tough question!

i play by ear, and then work backwards to explain that in my lessons ... keep practising different types of rhythms and u shud be able to do it soon ...

  • Thanx boss!! i dont want to put u in dificulty ;-) but had this in my mind...n many things as well lol

    I'm a big fan of ur's

Can u post guitar chord video for the song WAKE UP SID!! from the movie wake up sid

    I WOULD BE HIGHLY OBLIEGED

  • thanks my friend :)

i won't be posting a lesson for this one - strumming is quite straight - song is in D and chords are standard D, G, A, Bm, Em, F#m - try figuring out the changes urself, that's the best way to learn ....lemme know if u get stuck ...

    god bless

    pawan

  • Hi pawan it sounds amazing... i am really struggling with major bar chords of 5th string any suggestions?? Thx..

  • that's a toughie for most people - i remember my times, when i saw some pros using their 3rd finger to fret strings 2, 3 and 4 - my 3rd finger is a bit stubborn, so i switched to 4th finger - why don't u try both and see which one is more comfy ... but either way, it requires practice and practice and practice ...so just hang in there ...

  • im really glad i asked.. i never noticed tht u use ur 4th finger... i used ring finger and was told to mute the high E...

  • that's the way it's given in most books, if u cannot bend your ring finger enough - no one told me i cud use my 4th finger, i just did it instinctively when my ring finger gave up :)

  • Hey Pawan,

You are doing a fantastic job really.I have been seeing your videos daily and there is really so much to learn from.I have started playing guitar after quite a long gap and your lessons r really helping me a lot. i have a question 4u. i got a jasmine by takamine about 3 months before.the E and B strings started buzzing after a while,so i had to lift the bridge to get the notes sound properly.but this has made playing barre chords really difficult.can you suggest me something on this

  • thanks, madhur

looks like u lifted the bridge too much - try checking with the store, takamine guitars are good and they shud be able to resolve it ...

  • thanks ...i would try to get it fixed .. i really want to play the songs you have been teaching...

  • dude u rock......u r the king......the strumming pattern is really gr8 to listen....thanks sir

  • Loved strumming.
