Uhm, China has made great progress towards feeding its people. We on the other hand, the so called civilized western world, actively keep the world poor so we can feed our own people. You might shake your head at China, I shake mine at the ignorance that lives today. We are oblivious to the shit we cause world wide to live by the standards we do. If you think that is an example the Chinese should follow, then more power to you, but I don't think you fully understand the world around you.
It might keep the people of the communist or socialist country poor, I didn't argue that. But for capitalism to survive the way we 'use' it, there needs to be a large amount of poor people globally (80% of the world population currently) to keep a small amount of people (20%, you and I) 'rich'.
That's the reality nobody even talks about. All we, the rich, get, is the impression that we're trying to help everyone, while the opposite is true. We can thank the IMF and the WTO for this.
Nonsense. The reason that the so called poor nations are poor is that they have corrupt governments, or are marxist. Some of the poorest nations have more wealth in natural resources than the entire US. Yet, people in those nations so destitute because corrupt rulers and marxists have taken all of the money for themselves. The beauty of the US is that (at least in theory) people can keep what they earn. Stupidbama is going to make sure that changes, I fear.
