  • Thank you paisan! I am embaressed to say that I am 60yo and never knew that they recorded this in Italian. Thank you again for the great posts.

  • Upon seeing the heading, Groovin' (Italian version), I immediately thought about what a great idea that was to have done this with Italian lyrics. The flow of the music is wide open for the beauty of the lyrics as I imagined it. I would love to stop by a group of street musicians who had latched onto this take as it would be great to be heard live. Thx!

  • so nice to hear this Italian version!!....thanks for posting it

  • @MsJune54 So glad you enjoyed it. Please forgive my phonetic attempt at spelling "paisani" at the intro. Thanx 4 tuning in and for adding it to the featured video on your channel.

  • Can anyone please tell me where I can find an MP3 of this version?

    Thanks.

  • ...incredibile, era l'estate del '67, la mitica estate dell'amore ....Quei tempi purtroppo non torneranno mai più !!!!...

  • Molto bene!

  • Daddy Cib - Thanks for the tip. Yes, I will contact him. The last I spoke to Bob was on the phone at an ad agency where he worked (I, too, own an ad agency with my wife). I used to visit the WLAN and WRAW studios in the 60s when I had days off from junior high. Yes, I knew Mark, as well. I have scrapbooks full of photos, promos, plus air checks on my old reel to reels (which I"m slowly "baking" onto digital files). - Mike at The Museum

  • DaddyCib... just read your earlier post about Chuck Raymond in Lancaster! I got mine from a DJ at WRAW in Reading (Bob Dettrey worked at both stations). Small world!

  • @readingpublicmuseum I, too, am friends with Bob Dettrey. As a musician in the 60s & 70s, I worked many teen dances with him. He contacted me recently via YouTube. His wife started a channel here back in November. If you'd like to contact him (thru his wife, Cheryn), her YT name is "brynchico1". I'm sure he'd love to hear from you. A blast from the past always does a body good! BTW, did you know Mark Thomas from WRAW?

  • For some reason, I have this 45, as well (Italian one side, Spanish the other). A local DJ gave it to me back in the 60's. Great group... Felix still sounds fantastic!

  • @readingpublicmuseum Yeah, it's one terrific piece of wax...and rare, to boot! Gotta be worth somethin' to Rascals fans on ebay, but they'll have to pry mine from my cold, dead hands (LOL!). Probably my fave American group. And, you're right, Felix does still sound great! Thanx 4 tuning in.

  • @readingpublicmuseum THE RASCALS were popular in puerto rico

  • OMG mi piace molto! I love it!

  • What a delight! Thank you so much. Ti amo sempre Dino!

  • Love this soooo much!!! I'm so glad I understand Italian!!! The song flows so beautiful in Italian, just like in English!!! Bellissimo!!!

    T Y Dad

  • Hey Daddy! I actually like the Italian version better than Spanish, it seems to flow better....like the English version. Although I do like the Spanish version too. Very nice Daddy...you know what sounds good! ♥

  • @souldiegirl I agree, Esther...the Italian version does have a better flow. Obviously the rest of the world is in agreement, too. The Italian version is quickly approaching 10,000 views, while the spanish version is a little over 2,000. As always, thanx 4 stopping by!

    Bob-B-Que

  • Glad WMG didn't get this one ..huh

  • Shh-h-h-h! They may be watching...LOL!!!

  • @DaddyClb Thank you for the great post. Grazie mille. A proposito (by the way) I think you may have mispelled on the title, intending "paisani". The Italian is pronounced pie- zann ee. Pisans is a nice phonetic attempt. Forgive me, I'm a retired Italian American English teacher. Excellent post.

  • @pkneeno Thanks for the heads-up on the mispelling. I guess I should have done my homework first (LOL!). So glad you enjoyed the video of this rare gem. Thanx 4 tuning in. Come back anytime!

  • Good to hear this rare version I am happy with it

  • them Italians did not so bad eh

  • I love your hat, Daddy C.

  • I love it.

  • Me too...thanx for tuning in!

  • I was wondering where this Italian version went to , I love this version alot. thank you for the post.

  • OMG I HEARD THIS SONG WHEN I WAS A BOY! 1:35 on. Which is the best part i think!!! thank you

  • This is truly a fabulous thing to share. When I heard this as a kid, I was thinking Washington Square or West 4th St. Now, I'm thinking passeggiata on via del Corso in Rome . . .

  • I couldn't have said it any better myself. Thanx for tuning in, NewYorkMackie! Glad you liked it.....

    Daddy C

  • Very cool !!! Keep 'em coming pal...

    As always... great post...

  • Are you a Rascals fan? If so... I know Felix still tours but what about Eddie, Gene and Dino?

  • How great is this? This is such a classic tune and who knew that this version even existed? Daddy C..Once again, you "raise the bar" on terrific posts, Thanks for sharing this.

  • Thought you'd dig this one!

  • Top Post Daddy C Excellant!!!,thanks for the info.

  • wow! where did you get this!! fantastic buddy!!

  • A DJ on my local radio station WLAN, by the name of Chuck Raymond, gave it to me back in 1967 (he had no use for it). Am I lucky or what????
