TYT is such a crappy show anyways, I take all their comments w/ a grain of salt.. Here's a newsflash: just because a person is on the terrorist watchlist doesnt mean they are a terrorist. A majority of the people on that list are innocent US law abiding citizens with no terorrist ties. Some of them have been kids as young as 6 years old. The list used to be as big as 1 million people at one point; 900 gun applicants is a small %. Also the Fly list is the not the same as the terrorist watch list.
The problem here is that as more people wake up to US government corruption. The idea of being on the Terrorist watch list (without due process) is the question. Taking away someones rights without a trial puts government above the law. Since they lie to us EVERYDAY on TV news, why support giving them absoulte power to take away our gun rights without a fair trial?

The reason people on the terrorist watch list should be allowed to own guns is because they haven't been convicted of a crime. IF you don't want them to have guns the FBI should arrest them and let the courts decide if they are guilty of a crime, then they cannot buy a gun. Guns are defensive tools and that is really what they're designed for. Killing to defend the innocent is not the same as murder. A lot of lives are saved by good people with a gun every day. Guns are also very important tools for farmers and hunters and defense tools against animals.

That is most of the murders. Then there are the innocent people that get killed for their money to buy drugs. A majority of the people on that list are innocent US law abiding citizens with no terorrist ties. Some of them have been kids as young as 6 years old. The list used to be as big as 1 million people at one point; 900 gun applicants is a small %. Also the Fly list is the not the same as the terrorist watch list.

Guns are defensive tools and that is really what they're designed for. Killing to defend the innocent is not the same as murder. A lot of lives are saved by good people with a gun every day. @MrSPAX7 The AK is a design. A gas piston, a bolt carrier group, recoil spring, trigger group, barrel, sights, stock, etc. It is NO DIFFERENT in it's function than any other rifle. It looks mean to some people, but it's not. It's just a rifle like any other rifle. It's less powerful than a deer hunting rifle. @ close range it's less powerful than a shot gun. Just what feature of the AK rifle makes you want to ban it?

That is most of the murders. Then there are the innocent people that get killed for their money to buy drugs. Most crime is drug related and committed by people already banned from owning guns and for sure banned from having illegal drugs. Gun laws won't change that.

Ask them if they think the dead person might still be alive if they were legally armed with a handgun. Just ask about the ones that were murdered outside of their homes. The terrorist watchlist is separate from the no-fly list, and frankly both are a bit of a patriot act bull. If the men committed a crime, arrest them, if they didn't, observe them.
The list is just a list of names, which is why babies with names just like IRA terrorists get denied flights. A list of just names to deny people the right to buy guns does not just screw terrorists. If the terrorists are felons, they can't buy them anyway.

I've had investigators question me, it wouldn't surprise me if I'm on that list, and yet I've been convicted of nothing, same as probably everyone else still on the watch list.

While it's true a portion of their weapons are coming from the U.S., it's an insignificant amount coming from straw purchases being smuggled across the border. Almost all of the arms that can be traced to the U.S. were sold or given to the Mexican government to fight the drug war, and soldiers and police lost them or defected to the cartels for higher pay, taking their weapons with them.

And while it's true that the U.S., and companies in the U.S. are selling weapons, they're not selling them to the cartel, weapon exports are heavily regulated and watched.
I'm not saying the Mexican Government is guilty of anything bad, and certainly not the U.S., but the drug cartels are stealing military weapons.
