the eagles beat the raiders in week 12 of the 1980 nfl season 10-7, but in super bowl XV it was the day of the raider with Raiders LB Rod Martin intercepting 3 passes from eagles QB Ron Jaworski, and Raiders QB Jim Plunkett (MVP) completing 13 of 21 passes for 261 yds. and 3 tds, as the raiders whipped the eagles, 27-10.

Therefore, the next tiebreaker is point-differential: San Diego was plus-91, while Los Oakgeland was plus-58. That made San Diego the AFC West champs and Oakland the wild card. The AFC Central teams only differed by three points (+47 vs. +44). When in doubt, run up the score. Crazy year, as every AFC playoff team was 11-5.
