i made a broom stand up in a chair , i heard the same thing about the planetary alignment but i have watched other videos on here with brooms that stood up by themselves and i looked at the dates the videos were posted some were even back from february 2009 so now im kinda thinkin that its just the brooms balancing on the bristles but ive never tried to balance a broom until last night , who knows , but its neat anyways .

Bullshit. The straw legs spread out and it stands up just like a tripod... except that instead of three legs, it's hundreds of small ones. The planets are NEVER aligned. That is a myth.
