Cool looking documentary? Where do ya get it? I have a 1998 R. Scott Communications 20 Watt PLL FM Broadcast Transmitter. It works fantastic, and sounds great to this day! Its a clean rock solid transmitter. Not bad for $400 bucks spent 13 years ago, haha! Range with my 5/8's wave antenna at 30 feet is about 6 miles solid. Micro-Broadcasting is a great hobby, "and should be legal to 30 watts on a clear Freq"!
@pspheaven "You may be Right", kids today do not listen to FM, the I-Pod and others have shot FM in the head, its like when FM killed the top 40 AM Stations in the 1970's! I broadcast with 20 watts FM, but its more for my fun, not possible listeners.
Fuck the Fcc! People call America a free country but the presidents and governments do nothing but fuck over every single citizen without giving two shits if we suffer for what they have done to this formerly free and beauitiful country. America is becoming currupt every year, months and weeks until our country falls to the ground with sorrow and regret. I estimate that if something doesn't stop the government and president from making the wrong move, America will end and fall into a dictators
I wonder if these radio pirates would REALLY be in support of free speech? All I saw on this movie were a bunch of pissed off and mouthy leftists who by in large were borderline Marxists if not out right communists. But that's ok by me. What if someone wanted to start a pro-fascist or pro-nazi radio station, would this crowd be so supportive of "Free air waves" then? Freedom of airwaves for all or none I say. Lets put this to the test and really see if these people are supportive of it.
@MrHappyTruth There was a white supremacist station called "Voice of To-morrow" allegedly run by Kevin Alfred Strom, a ham radio operator. The station ran in that long dry spell for pirates in the late 1980s; Strom dropped the piracy because he was afraid the FCC was going to yank his ham license. "VoT" ran on the high end of the AM band and also on shortwave. So much for the Nazis.
And Strom was also into child porn....fun folks, these Nazis.
here in holland we got no maximum. we got transmitters from 100 watt to 20 kw! 60% of all radio pirates of europe are in holland. and 80% of holland is located in my area of the country :)
look at my music, thats what we play in our country on the pirateradio!
You are retarded? By that logic the same wireless car transmitters used for portable music devices would be illegal! Also the entire brand of extremely popular "I-trip" I-pod accessories would be illegal!
Here it is. Those systems only run at about a milliwat of power, not enough power to be heard outside of the immediate area.Blue tooth and wireless sound devices are transmitting in band specific areas allocated by the FCC. Plain and simple, there are laws, follow them. If you break them, you face consequences
There are STILL serious fines and penalties on the Civil records (federal law), and you do risk having your gear seized and fines and jail. Now that may not happen but the risk is there. Don't lie to people. If you are emitting an intentional broadcast signal it can be tracked.
Love listening to 'Pirate Radio'! I've heard some stations on 6.925 and 6.955 MHz, AM and USB! Does anyone else know what other frequencies I should be listening to?

OH GOD! why would you confuse the issue. Okay free speach. Your a fucking moronic asshole with a cork up your ass. You like to suck cock!
See? Free speech sucks! If your causing HI with a legal station, your breaking federal law. free speech has nothing to do with it.

all very true but until you cause interference and/or are reported you're not likely to be caught but it is still illegal

You are fill of crap. Show me the reg. You are making it up.
Don't be confused between MORE LIKELY TO GET AWAY WITH IT and LEGAL.
There are no intentional broadcast from unlicesned stations allowed unless they are in milliwatts like a garage door opener or a Mr. Microphone.
